Barnacle Bones  

Ive been camping this a couple weeks now. Tried just killing everything, tried killing oldest on track, tried posting 6 bards on important spots in zone with ae snare running so stuff agros and stops if they walk by and so the fabulous four wouldnt ks me. Ive killed thousands of mobs and every other name several times but have never seen this one on track.

edit: finally did get him. Finding the major pathing points and killing everything that pathed into it did the trick.

swam like a thousand laps around the cauldron killing everything that moved... he finally spawned after about 5 hours near kedge keep...

Edit: I am not 100% convinced that the Undertow Skeletons are Barneclebones's place holders. I think its far more likely that everything swimming around in the zone are his PH just like all the other rare spawns in the hunters achievement for this zone. Nevertheless every time He did spawn for me during my veritable eternity doing the Dagnor's Cauldron Hunter Achievement it was always near the entrance to Kedge Keep. And it seemed to take on average about five to six hours of killing mobs to get him to spawn.

what is his location?

i saw him once. spawned just past the Fab4..he was blue to me at lvl 20.. and the first time i saw him i got the trident off of him.. it is sweet for dual wield, but it is pri hand only.. so now i have to work my piercing

Barnacle falls into the "rare" category of Dagnor's with Bilge, Jetsam, Flotsam, Squallslither. You see them all about the same amount if you stay long enough. The coral trident is Barnacle's rare...it is not magical sadly but does have 5 dex...it is easy to see when Barnacle has it. Barnacle "pops" all over with one sad trend it seems...i have seen several times where he spawns and proceeds directly to the Fab 4 camp to be obliterated....quite sad....glad to say I've never seen Bilge do this.

Off my 40+ hours in this zone (went from 16 to 24 with my mage, pretty fast), I saw Barnacle Bones spawn twice. Once was next the NPC camp, and i was very lucky to get him before the NPC did, and the other time was in front of Unrest. Got the pauldrons 2 times, conned blue both times (once around 18 and the other around 23)

This guy con blue to my level 17 pally. Not always level 20 I'd guess. I got the Barnacle Covered Pauldron off him. Nice to sell for 15pp to someone looking for Bronze armor or something like that.
