soloed this as 28nin/14war. i have the best possible gear for my lvl, so when i stuck blinld and slow. this thing was helpless. i hacked away at it till it died, it only got 2 hits in on me the whole fight.

i'm a 32rdm/16nin and solo'd one in qufim and took it no prob... had 1/2 or a little under 1/2 hp afterwards. no sword though.

Okay, it has to be RDM, i just had one hit me with Stone, then cast Regen on itself...
Evil Weapons generally are either WAR or RDM.

As a 35rdm/blm I can take one of these without much problem. The most annoying thing about these is that they were linking from very far away (seemingly farther than normal linking mobs). So be careful if you're hunting these. Pull them far away from each other.
Yeah i am now a 40rdm/20whm and these things are easy to solo. Just need to put blink up and stoneskin and your set. i have about 8 of these kaiser swords which i cant seem to sell so if any 1 needs 1 let me know. I am Leni on Valefor Server.

As a level 36 whm, they check easy to me. I was able to solo one, with a blm subbed, but then some wights jumped in 3/4 threw the battle and killed me...but I killed the weapon first; sadly, no blade:(

Yeah you should be OK as long as you have some decent gear. I was able to solo them at 30, but it was a close fight....too close for me, so I didn't fight many of them. At 30 they ranged from Decent Challenge to Even Match. Good luck to ya.
I beat up on these guys all the time trying for Kaiser swords and looking for the NM evil weapon that spawns right near here.

Can a level 40whm/smn take one of this on easy,
Becasue I know that whms normally cant beat easy preys, so I was wondering like how many levels does it take past the level of the monster to make it "To weak to be worthwile"?

I can solo these with little trouble as a BLM43/WHM20 (I know my sub needs to be levelled), so I'm guessing a WHM40 with Stoneskin and strong light magic should be able to beat these easier than me. They aren't undead, so cure bombing won't work...but Banish is very effective.

I tried to kill it with my RDM30/BLM15 at Qufim for the Kaiser Sowrd.
I couldn't solo a Decent Challenge, I had to call for help at the end. Worn him down about 10% when I was about to die.
Take extra caution when you fight these. :P

I dont think these are weak to fire.
Enfire barely did 5 damage to one in battalia.
I believe they mean magic aggro, like elementals.
(I havent gotten a sword either)

So will these aggro on you even if you cast sneak due to the magic sensitivity?

they will not agro on you if you have sneak on. however, if you cast anything they will sense it and attack you regardless of sneak. normal monsters that sense with sound won't detect you even if you cast with sneak on.

they are RED mages, not black. every casting weapon i've seen has always cast both white and black magic spells (regen, dia II, aero, etc).
if it was a black mage it would have some form of spike spell cast (similar to banshees) but i have never seen one with it (spent a couple hours killing them for kaiser blade... didn't drop it either :()

Yes, they cast Enwater on themselves, so they can't be BLM, they have to be RDM's.

I can also confirm that these, indeed, are rdms. I also had one cast enwater on itself
correct me if i am wrong, but are those AF1 swords abouve thier heads?
