overall this fight wasn't bad. went with a 75 whm, 75 nin, and another 70+ nin, then me (67 war/nin) fight took a little while, but none of us ever hit below 800 hp, and the only one that dropped to 800 was the nin tank, and only once. needless to say, i didn't hit very often, and when i did damage was bad. rampage and mistral axe only did around 65 dmg each. we cleared the room before we popped the bat. mainly just to clear the room, but as a nice tp builder as well. a slow, but easy fight (with this setup at least).
I must tell this fight can really go bad without a good nin tank. I discovered you can SNEAK pop so you dont get link of nasty skelletons, that makes fight more posible; nobady wants to help cause its too hard(still seeking for help T.T).
Bat starts off strong, hitting me for mid 200s to mid 100s. Did some SC's, then 2houred. Did steady damage to the bat for the duration of the 2hr. When it wore, I switched to my Arhat's head and body gear and threw up defender. NM was... oh... between half and 2/5 life before it finally took me down. The rest continue to wear on it, and then the Drg went down next. Thf got hate, 2 houred, did a few more hits and did Dancing Edge, putting the NM down for the count.
Personally, I don't care if I die in a fight while helping out. XP is easy to regain. Besides, we all agreed that as tough as the fight was, we all had a lot of fun with the fight.
this enemy is easy? BS!, I just fought it with a few LS mates and OHO NO! far from easy, this thing was hitting about 150+ on our tank, it was me (74rng/37nin) 2 whm 70+, sam70, and pld74, this thing does not go down easily, my sidewinders hit 700+ per shot and this thing wasn't letting down at all, so my advice, don't read these crazy comments and go unprepared like me, at least we made it out from tele-altep in time
took with RDM74, RDM73, BRD74, 74THF/NIN, pulled to the tunnel on the other side from the Crab one, only got one aggro toward the end, and the BRD slept it (Have to love Light based sleep...) with Double Mambo and Ni, it only hit the tank once the entire fight toward the end, Use PoisonII, Choke, and Dia II (Don't need Bio for an Evasion Tank) and try to have the BRD land Elegy and Requiem if possible. He was actually pretty hard to land Enfeebles on, but I did land Paralyze and Slow which helped a bit. Use Regen instead of Cures to keep the hate lvls down, When THF got into the yellow, we were far enough away that he didn't aggro the undead. Fight took about 30 minutes or so.
Also, this group is really really really easy to get as these are the only jobs that WANT the WS, Where-as only 2 jobs really want Savage Blade (Though I bet with enough RDMs and PLDs, you coudl beat that Scorpion)
You have to trade the dagger back to the chiefteness to get the map of "something". So no you don't use the actual dagger to make the kill because you shouldn't have it anymore.
Hello. This is Zetah from the Midgardsormr server.
Approximately a week ago we killed this NM for a person in the Avail linkshell (HNM), after that LS helped us on killing the Savage Blade NM. A lot of people left after the Savage Blade fight, and the only people that stayed were 2 rdms, 4 plds, and a nin. Baronial Bat does in fact hit very hard, and the PLDs made sure to only Spirits toward the end, or when we felt the NIN had enough hate. We weren't really sure if we would win or not. The NIN got in red HP a lot, and orange HP, but we could flash to counter this so she could recast her stuff. We had a flash order, you could say.
But yeah, PLD Damage Dealers. :D PLDs were myself, Ladydeathstrike, Zubis, and Beatupeverythng (Galka ~_~). We played with Savage Blade a lot before the fight (everyone wanted to Savage Blade a bunny outside San D'Oria) and after.
Any info about PT, kind of special attacks... aoes?... come one, i dont wanna make a pt to find a surprise.. and i dont find no even a decent info about this enemy.
Jymmie THF71 Quetza..
Edit ~> I hope this info helps someone...
I did Evisceration the pass weekend, i mean the NM kill. For my experience that will be what u will need to do.
Go to Gustav, I-8, clean all the VT undeads (VT to me at 71 and their repop is around 16mins) There's a nice camp with just one Robber Crab that your pt will be able to take easyly.
Use Silent Oil, click the ??? and the Bat will pop, now move to RA area, pull it and kill it.
The NM. He has lot of evasion, more than a common IT++. I went there with this PT config and we did nice. DRG, SAM, NIN (tank), RDM, WHM, DRK, THF (me). SAM chained with DRK and NIN, and he was with sub thf, so he was able to trick SC over the tank to keep the hate on him, same did the DRK. DRG and me chained Wheeling Thr>Shark.
At the mittle of the battle nin died on one ugly double fast attack (yes only 1 double and tarutaru ninja lv 70 dead). Anyway the SAM did his 2h, change a few equip and tanked the way out to the end of the battle. Our SAM and DRK was 75, so we got 68 xp and a Bat Fang ( lol ).
I hope this helps, cos i had a very hard time trying to get info about the NM tactics, and there's nothing around except in a few JP forums.
After this we went to Romoeve to kill the Black Halo NM Pot, that pot its easyer than the bat, lower eva/better def, 88 + ~ xp. He tryed to cast a few Ga magics, but the DRK stuned it, so no problem at all.

This is a bat required to beat to get the Dagger WS Evisceration (spelling mistake?)
At first you need to be lvl 71 and dagger skill 230+. You talk to a Mithra NPC (Jakoh Wahcondalo) in Kazham. She gives you the "Dagger of Trials". You have to gain 300 points (which are only aquired on easy-prey and stronger mobs).
Once you've aquired 300 points you need to talk with the same Jakoh Wahcondalo, this will remove the latent-effect from the dagger. After talking to her you need go to Gustav Tunnel and kill this bat. Which looks pretty damn hard.
After doing so, travel back to Mithra NPC and you will recieve the WS Evisceration (i heard it rocks more than shark-bite! SWEET)
