I'm 0/6 and I really need it... >.< Looks like some more camping for me...
I'm pretty sure the place holder is in (H-7). the spawn time is about an hour or so. I'm 0/5 on this thing... it's fun to kill though. Watch out for links if you're a lower level.
I used to camp this guy,as level 30drk/15thief but after 0/10 i stopped.I began killing Ghi/Howlbalde once per day cause eh always drops Marine Shield(7k)...killed once more while mining,today i was talking with ls about doing another Eco-warrior told them i needed level 20 wep for drk,was mining at exact same time ran by spawn and there he was,right when i siad itd be nice if i got Braveheart to use for it,i killed and got drop.

There were 3 of us in the mines, 2 drk and 1 rdmage, and we were doing an LS thing and while me and the rdmage waited for the other drk we started training quads to lvl up our other weapon skill. The train was ok in size, about 30 quads. The rdmage didn't want me to engage cause she wanted to lvl her club so I sit and watch then I notice a quad in the corner all by himself, waddling around with his g-sword so I hit him with ranged and kill him after 3 hits. Got the gauntlets. ><

I have a really bad habbit of skilling up weapon skills and gettings in trouble while doing so.. (32war/15mnk)
Just now I was in the Mines working my way up the floors as the weapon skills increased, thought id make a little cash off the quadav's gil and item drop too, sounds fairly sane.
Eventually I get up to H-8 and decide to camp this guy for about an hour tops to maybe get a Braveheart to give to a LS memeber who had hopes of having one. I start killing off the quadavs here as I planned to do but, curiosity kills the cat. My archery level is at 72 So I figuered maybe one shot will take one of these guys out (great bow +1, Boost, berserker on, silver arrows) So I try it out on one of the quad's in the room and he drops...so I figure for fun I'd take one out of the ones on the other side of a nearby gate (near old toolbox). Shot misses totally so I prepare for what I know will be a decent size train which of course comes around. What I never noticed was that as I was fighting for control of the camera that I managed to move into a nearby hall and picked up a few more quad's not to mention that the train had alot of caster quad's that kept spamming DOTs which left me near 120hp which was my mostly fault for now switching to my main weapon before the train came to me. Looking at my very sucky loot (quad fetich parts) I begin to rest and bam.. Zi'Ghi Pops and aggro's me along with 2 more quad's around him, one caster quad goes down, Zi'Ghi is near death and uses invincible, at this point thanks to defender having been used and dodge a bit away i am down to 32 hp since the casters spammed banish and bio/dia, invincible runs out and Zi'Ghi Drops, switch to last caster quad, hardslah MISSES but dia goes away, seems all good right? Nope.. quad scores a critical..so I am now just sitting there dead while I type this upp hoping a nice whm passes by lol, did get the braveheart by the way :D

So there I was, trying to mine in Palborough to get gil to buy Dispel and since I got bored mining (I had no luck =/) I decided to train Quadavs and other things and start farming them. Afterawhile, my LS starts talking about lots of NMs in the mines and I'm like... 'cool' I turn around and see a funny name and I'm leik: "Whoa NM!" without even thinking about it, I draw my sword and whack it to death. Two other Quads link/aggroed and 4 ppl were standing around looking at me kill them. I was saying "Little help? ^^;" They just keep standing there. Luckily, I had BLM subbed (normally WHM) and I AoE'd them all to death and I got me Braveheart ^^; which sol for a bit other 20k and I got me Dispel ;) I'm a better RDM now :D
how long is the pop time for this guy, ive camped there for ages and no sight
It's spawn time varies. If you dont kill its placeholders you will be waiting a long time. I'm at lvl 52 Blm so i just kill off half the 3rd floor in one train to assure i killed them. I'd give its spawn time from 1-3 game days.
I train here all the time and ive gotten his sword 2 times out of 18 fights. Ive seen him fought 23 times(including mine) and he only dropped once out of the 5 times i didnt fight him.
Also the 2 times i had gotten the drop, i had thf sj for gilfinder off trains and TH for the sword. normally i go as blm/whm tho

Soloed this as 30MNK/15THF for an LS member (We were gonna camp together, but I got there way ahead of time) and walked into the room with him present. Nobody else was around at the time so I took a few moments to clear out the surrounding Quads and beat him into a pulp. Managed to take him down a couple times, but I only got a couple of Coarse gear drops.

Me and my Bard Buddy had the opportunity to beat the stuffing out of this "turtle-back". While he threw on invinsible i just rebuffed myself while the bard healed me up. then after his Invinsibility wore off. We feed him a whole lot of damage. All this for a pair of lousy Course Leggings. Ah well a Dead "Turtle-Back" is the only Good "Turtle-Back" (Psst...That's slang for Quadav)

hm yeah i decided to go help a LS member get her fetich peices, but she left the mines before i got there... so im sitting there thinking what to do. So i decide to go see if shes there... i run around the corner n there she is in my face with a bunch of friends so i cast a few thunders/blizzards she dies and in my message box popped braveheart :D well i have no use for it so im selling it discounted to a ls member for 25K pretty sexy if you ask me.
this isnt worth the hunt if your just going for the cash. sure get one for yourself, but you'd be better off running around getting Platinums than sitting here killing quadavs.

Camped it for about an hour tonight... got it on the first drop.

I love this guy. My friend and I went in as blm/smn and whm/blm. we killed it 6 times and no drop. he spawned often tho. my friend didnt come the past 2 times and i went as a blm/thf. im 2/2 w/ treasure hunter. now the question is, is it because of TH or because my friend didnt come O_o

Would the drop chance increase if i subbed a lvl 1 thf?
No. THF only benefits drop rates when you have Treasure Hunter ability which is a level 15 ability. So you'd have to have a level 30 or higher job with a 15 or higher THF subbed with it, otherwise it's pointless to sub THF in this situation.

I was in the mines farming quads to make easy gil and i was in the area when i started fighting a quad. when i realized it was him i got real excited. i didn't take me long to beat him with a 30WAR/14MNK so it was fairly easy. I told my friends on my LS what i was fighting and the freaked b/c of the braveheart. after i beat him i waited to see the drop and sure enough there it was, the braveheart. that was my first ever nm kill.

NO JOKE as I was reading up on this guy cause I am in the mines HE SPAWNED IN FRONT OF ME! no joke. Got gauntlets.
I was running around last night trying to get my key with my 24war/12mnk when I see this guy. I take him down with little of a fight and got the braveheart. This was my first NM drop after camping Lizzy and Sophie for so long it feels good to get the monkey off my back.

One time i was walking around training Quadavs when all of a sudden this guy popped up and i just ran up to it and killed it in only 2 hits. I got the sword!
Killed him yesterday with my Whm 33 / Blm 16 and I got the Coarse Gauntlets , but I'll be back for the Braveheart for my 18 War
This guy won't drop that sword. I'm 2/2...with my 46 thief, got coarse guanlets for my paladin.

I'm 8/8 for coarse gauntlets on this guy (and growing). Just drop the braveheart already. I'm starting to think server Unicorn is flaking on the randseed.

This guy is really easy to a 30 WAR, I came here to level my GAXE, and this guy happened to be up... so I kill him, first time I get some Coarse Gauntlets. Then when I came again to farm a bit, he's up again, so I come and beat the crap out of him... and BANG! I get a Braveheart! I'm now 1/3 on this guy and I logged at his spawn, hoping he'll be up when I log back on.
