This guy is the stronger version of the firedrakes found near the entrance to riverne: site A01. The firedrakes are somewhat smaller, and range from T to IT. They all pose a very real threat, because they hit very hard and have a strong paralyzega attack that literally cripples your pty for several rounds. For the ITs a nin tank is almost a must...and that's just the firedrakes I'm talking about. This guy is much stronger. We only fought one, and we did manage to kill it, but the pld had to use invincible and died regardless. No need to fight these guys, get your drops from the firedrakes (unless, like us, you're just looking for a challenge ^^).
Also, I would say the firedrakes are, by and large, far more deadly than the hippogryphs. But hippos have true sight.

I fought this mob, its in a area that has a level 40 cap, so its not that hard. Me and a party of 6 easily took this down. You actually need to get a 2 giant dragon scales (rare/ex) from the monster, to reach the BC area, known as Monnarch Linn. You need the scales to open two portals to the burning circle area. Trust me that pictures makes it look alot meaning then it is. A WHM and RNG in my party, actually went and hunted these guys for a while once. The real danger in the area you find those monster, is the creature Hippo. it has true sight and has a mean AoE which if it aggro's you while fight this monster, you a goner.
This appears in Riverne Site #A01, as it says in the mob data; A01 is a 40-capped area. Hence, the mobs range from EP to, later on, IT. I believe the flamedrakes show up later and hence are higher than the starting mobs.

Have you ever even been to riverne site #A01...this isn`t promyvion ~.~ its all T or higher.
Actually, the weakest mobs I've seen in Riverne - Site #A01 are T (the Riverne Vultures, can't remember if the Hawkers and Hawkertraps were too).
Hawkertraps are Decent Challange.
i've never personaly fought one but judging by the equipment in the screen (provided they survived) i'd say around lvl 50 or so.
