This is a random NM pulled while fishing. South Landing to Central Landing Fished front right side of the barge just before you land at Central Landing. Any rod/bait will do. drops Pugil Scales.

pic clues. cabin lights are on and the npc Ineuteniace is not on the barge. This only happens on two trips, from South to Central Landing, and North to Central Landing. BUT the background mountain only happens on the South to Central Landing so that's your pop area.

This may not be a "Quest"..it may just be that you have to fish to spawn it. As to why the drops suck, well a lot of drops suck from NM's. It may just be there to mess with fishermen/women. Why do they have barges you can't board? Why are there 3 "Strange Apparatus" machines that don't work"? Why was a JP running around with a "Clear Sword" when the game began that doesn't even exist? Who the F knows!

I saw him a few days ago, I was camping Vodyanoi when I see that WHM fish something, and of course the old NPC aboard start to freak out. He says something like "What in Altana's name did you bring onboard?! Take care of that thing! Quick!"
The WHM wouldn't had died, but wouldn't had time to kill it before docking neither, so I offered help and we killed it, dropped Pugil Scales :P
So maybe the previous poster is right, a Fishing Guild quest NM.

Everybody here is wrong, this is a triggered NM for a fishing guild quest.
Since this mob doesn't seem to drop anything special, I am leaning towards this theory; however do you have any proof of this or at least the quest name?

Seems to be a 21-24 hour Pop as I have seen it two days in a row around midnight. Both times on the Ferry from South to North Landing on the front section of the boat around where the Tonberry NPC is. Both times it was claimed by the same 70 something JP RDM.
He did not seem to have difficulty with the fight but both times he did not manage to kill it before the boat docked. He seems to only be able to spawn that one time and if he is not killed then he won't come back for another day. He warped out both times shortly after we docked whereas I continue to fish long enough to take 2-3 more trips from South to North with no sign of him.
He spawned both timmes in what seemed like a little bit more than haflway through the trip.

considering those items don't even exist in the game's files, no.
anyone know the min lvl to beat this Mob and what to use to fish him out?

do you wana know what i dont get.... i dont get why people would camp an NM if it doesnt drop anything or if it doesnt give a title like this one for an exaple >< its just stupid like if your on the ship and it agros yeah kill it but dont just camp it, its retarded

Maybe some poeple think it may have a really rare drop thatll be really good.. lol... id rather camp an nm that i know drops sumthing
well It might be for a quest, even though they dont post it up here, there might be something else involved in it like many other NM's that don't drop anything good/give a title

Hey this NM name isn't Aipaloovic its Aipaloovik.. Hehe Just wanted to correct how they spelled it. I saw this guy getting claimed by a JP WHM, I tried to ask what are the drops but he didn't reply. :/
