Beat the snot out of these two gys yesterday after going to do a bit of exploring, went with my bf (sort of :S) But they do cast stoneskin sort of and air move where one of them cant be damaged for a time. But i was able to chunk one of their hp as a 59 whm. I probobly could have solo both of them as long as i conserved mp and cured only when needed. I got key item blue bracelet which i have no idea what it is for. But i have now so cool, one less item i have to obtain.[b]
Ended up accidentally soloing these things as a BRD/NIN when I was doin a little exploring. Kinda tough since I'm a BRD and all...but it's possible for any of you adverturious BRDs out there ;)
Ok I was exploring this area today, and I found this blue gloing ??? point Not knowing what it was I clicked on it thinking i'd get a cool message giving me a hint of what it's for... but nooooooo... when I turned around I about crapped my pants when I saw the door shut and these guys beating on me..
so I started attacking them with the normal soloing spells (haste, protect/shell 4, stoneskin, refresh, phalanx, Enthunder) got the first guy half way dead then I found out there little trick...
occasionally they will flash one gold and one blue . the one that's gold will be vulnerable to attack while the one that's blue can't be hurt except by my enthunder for 8 whole points of damage lol.
keep alternating targets till there dead.
this kinda goes without saying but if low on MP. wait till stoneskin wears off. then as soon as you cast a fresh one convert :D
Soloed them as a lvl 69RDM/20THF ^^
got a blue bracelet when i touched the ??? again was told by LS member that it is used to open doors and also in a quest after u beat ravine A(random 0's and 1's) lol.
hope this clears up a little confusion oh how to beat these guys :)
Duo'd these and the other Gargoyle NMs for the Green and Blue bracelets yesterday with a 67 PLD/WAR and myself, a 67 WHM/BLM. It took a long time because they switch off being invincible so you can't just concentrate on killing one. Sleep never worked on either of them, and bind worked, but you're in such a small room and bind has such a long recast that it's pretty ineffective. They never came close to killing the PLD. The only issue we had was that I might run out of MP (I drank a pineapple juice or two I think).
