I'm thinking that it only pops by H-10. An Antican Pauldron Farmer told me that he haven't seen any trace of it on K-7. Got my 2 Centurio claim on H-10 w/ a drop rate of 1/2. Pops beside the slope to QC with the other Anticas.

Since all i see lately is posts about "its taking to frikking long" i'll HELP.
As said this a 21 HR 2 minutes and 7 seconds EXACT pop(lol rlly) and spawns up,not down,the edges it spawned 4 times at the exact spot(H-10) so i think i'm pretty positive that if u stand there u'll get it.
BTW i am 1/4 on this NM and i love the earring.
As all 20HR+ NM only problem is getting ToD.
Once you have this you should NO problem getting claim and kills.
I killed this as THF 72 and was easy, one thing though: watch out for EES!
I lost my shadows at full HP and the ******* EES'd me for a whooping 800 DMG. Since he hits/rattks u for 60-80 a hit thats fairly dangerous.
So my advice for this NM is if u want ToD u should just leave your character there and go sleep or play with your fingers and when u wake up if u see "???" defeats Centurio u know it popped in about that zone, now you have a clue and u can start your camping.
For claim i shouldn't worry IF there is another person that
1) has ToD
2) needs item
3) is there
A Steal can claim this NM easy so don't worry.
I suggest you kill this NM 65+ for safety at 60 tanks kan kick it (NIN) PLD at 65 cause of EES.

does anyone know if this NM spawns after maintnece like fafnir,behemoth and such? or does it reset and pop 21 hours after maintnece?
Was a long fight and we used many pets no melle fighting only pet bombs, about 14 I think but we beat him down and it was fun.

Seeing how Bombs (like all Arcana) can't be Charmed, I'd be interested in finding out how you pulled that off.
Is there any Jug calling a Bomb-type pet? Maybe it was that

I just ran into this guy on the Fairy Server about 10 minutes ago. I was able to solo him as my 57 BST. Used 3 Mushroom jugs and 2 random beetles. I found him randomly as I was just farming Spider Webs. Ended up getting drop.

I have been camping this NM for almost 2 weeks now to obtain a ToD etc.
he has a confirmed 21 hour pop timer, and usually pops right on 21 hours and I have seen it no later than 10 minutes after
his spawn ara is wider than I expected, he pops around the L-shaped entrance to quicksands in east altep, on the down ramp and to both sides of it, far enough on the right side that he can't be seen from the ramp entrance even.
5 of us all 70+ killed it in probably less than 10 seconds and got the drop, good earring to have for any PLD. Happy to now be a proud wearer of the intruder

As others have said, popped on the north side of the entrance to Quicksand Caves @ G-9/H-10.
34 exp @ level 68 - Roughly equal to level 51-52 mob.
Took as 68 thf/ninja. First acid bolt landed and Defense Down processed, but after he used Sand Shield (Defense Boost), acid's stopped processing.
Bloody Bolts drained 11 HP each. ><
His hits did between 30 and 70 each.
Other special moves:
Sand Trap - Did 11 damage to me
Shoulder Slam - did 119 dmg
Sand Veil - Evasion Boost
He didn't use EES, thankfully. I was almost to 1/4 hp at the end. Didn't have sleep or blind bolts along.

It's 21 Hours for it's window. Then it can spawn anytime within 10 mins after 21 hours of time of death is up.

Here's my story on my encounters and it's drops. I ran into this guy on BLM alot with my WHM friend and we wouldn't get the drop. One day she found it again... "women's intuition" she says lol, which i will never ever doubt anymore, and i scrambled out THF to help and we got drop and i gladly passed to her.
Now that i had a time on this guy, 21 hours from what everyone said, is right, if not on the dot then soon. Was camping again with another friend.. he poped and i claimed with ranged attack with sleep bolts, YES SLEEP BOLTS WORK. Lullaby also works and i'd assume regular sleep works to. So it is possible to solo this guy as RNG or THF, etc around 60ish or lower thanks to sleep bolts or sleep spell. I didn't really see any info if he could be slept so i hope this information is helpfully ^^ Oh and earring again!

Solo this guy with my 59 nin, keep shadow up, when NI not ready, you run till its ready. Just watchout for the other antican.
What is the minum level to solo this or duo this? Could a 61rdm/blm kite it decently? Anyone have a clue how hard he is level wise? I solo the T ants there, which are just long fights. Anyone know his level or atleast how common he would resis gravity or sleep 2 from a rdm? Would it be better to rdm/nin melee him?

I recommend subbing ninja, I am a lvl 75 pld and subbed nin and pulled away from other ants. EES will do about 350 dmg to all you plds out there at 75, manage MP and keep shadows up and figh tshould last about 10-15 mins. Once you have ToD though it's no problem to camp, popped every 21 hours for me. good luck

uhh yew rod completely blows ***, breaks to much, ****** *** stanima, lu shangs: the god of all rods, almost never breaks, so much stanima u almost always catch, and when u got this rod gill comes by so ez, example bastore breams, 20-30k a stack, thats like 300-400k a day, try catching a stack of breams with a yew rod

I hate this nm dangit he wont quit agroing me and im getting aggravated 1/2 i cant use this earring which makes it suck even more for me 68MNK/THF33

Wrong. There is endgame and other gear that gives MP+ such as Kirin's Osode which provides 30 MP which you can convert into HP by using this earring. It's a good earring for Tanks at endgame trying to squeeze out as much HP as possible.

-.- He means its useless for Monk, it has no use to him. No wonder why he camps it though.. the earring is decent, nice for a Thief though. I doubt many thieves will use it.
Chased after this NM past 2 days and got it tonight. Got the earring to drop. Best I can tell, it is a 21 hour spawn and 21 hour on the dot. First day I went after it, I took the number of days since the last maintenance (4 days) and multiplied that by 21 hours to get the rough spawn time. Since maintenance had ended at roughly noon, adding 84 hours to that put the spawn time at roughly midnight. I went hunting for him at a quarter before midnight and at a quarter after, I saw a RNG 75 on Choco scouting the area near the Quicksand Caves entrance to where the Loxley Bow NM spawns. At 12:15 am, Centurio XII-I popped and the RNG and a THF 75 duoed it. EES hit the THF for considerable damage but they managed fine against it and had it dead at 12:20 am. Next day, I go looking for it again at 9:20 pm and he spawns right at 9:20 pm and once again right by the entrance to Quicksand Caves . The fight took forever for me as a PLD 75/RNG 37 (subbed for widescan) and I had a local Antican BLM mob link to it and spam -aga spells on me but I manage to outlast it and take it down in 10 minutes. Earned 15 exp points, Intruder Earring and 85 gil (what a cheap NM).

Finally popped, killed...no drop...killed again 21 hrs later...no drop....killed again 21 hrs later...no drop. Maintanance lost me the ToD, i hate this ant.. ><

camped this thing for 3 days so far [about 6 hours at a time] not even a sight...not givin up but damn its frustrating ><
