These do drop Hermit Rings, I got 3 off of them today.
I have never seen one drop from the stone eaters,but the Grub most definitely do.
The Grub were replaced by totally useless high level worms and goblins,Square Enix had no clue what they were doing in that update.
I tired killing the stone Eaters for a couple hours in hopes they perhaps have an incredible low drop rate like 0.5% but i doubt i can kill 100 to find out before getting bored.
I have been going there off and on for years so i would have had one drop by now.All i can think of is possibly a Thief with Th might give it enough drop rate to actually drop,as i have never spent a lot of time as a thief there.I think i only went after the steam scale mail when had my Thief.

I came back Bastok way to do some farming (desperately need some new armor) >< Anyway, I walked into the zone and realized, man I got no map for this zone ~sigh~. Anyone know where I can get the map for this zone?
in Dangruff Wadi, I can confirm that they drop Hermitt's rings.

Just curious to why the name of the mob has (goblin).
Is it a goblin in disguise?

if they drop things that can get you 1k at the AH, i'm going to be rich in no time at all =)
The Giant Grubs drop hermit's rings and sulfur, I don't think the stone eaters here drop anything you don't see from other stone eaters. To be honest, i don't even remember seeing stone eaters in the Dangruf, but maybe I am just hazy, I seem to remember fighting them there a some time. I don't know why this is all messed up with this Goblin junk...
I have gotten 5 hermit rings during normal lvling (2 jobs from 5-10 on the stone eaters). To get to them take a left as soon as u enter wadi. You will run into them if u stay left. If you are lvling here gotta dodge alot of goblins. The rings sell pretty fast for 2k on Carbuncle.

They also drop hermit's rings. worth about 1k each at AH. not bad for low levels.

they are normal worms like the one outside of wadi! they just have different drops then other Stone eaters that's all! they drop sulfer
