0/251 now on it, gilsellers on Lakshmi are slow, we get 2 or 3 chymes every 15 minutes but no drop, how odd is this drop?

History of Stroper ChymeStroper Chyme was once one of the most heavily camped monsters in the game, back when it used to drop Archer's ring, an item used to make Sniper's ring. However, in July 2005 -- in an effort to thwart the profits of RMT -- SE changed Stroper Chyme so that the monster no longer dropped the Archer's ring. Information on that update, which affected other notorious monsters and items, can be viewed at July 19, 2005 Update Notes. Stroper now drops the Shikaree ring, ex duplicate of the Archer's ring that cannot be used in recipes. Stroper can also be found at G-9 and H-10. only reason I see is:
Why bother? I mean if anything this HELPS the game. draws more people in than it takes away. Besides selling the gil online makes this game more fun for some, however on the down side it makes it worse for others. Basicly what it seems too is that we pay for this game in the first place, so why not pop out a little more cash? Sure the gil sellers are not giving any profit for doing this, so why would SE not crack down? Why? Because it generates publicity for the game,keeps it running strong. I mean just look at these posts we are putting up, case and point.
But dont get me wrong, I hate these guys, you camp for hours and get jack, sometimes no claim at all. So if we all want to do something to stop this, then we all have to stop buying stuff from the AH that they sell. Which as far as I can tell wont happen anytime soon,if ever.

I camped chyme last night and i claimed it all night....the gilsellers on Phoenix aren't all that fast. i recommend getting a party of 3 or more FRIENDS.....DON'T TEAM UP WITH PEOPLE U DON'T KNOW!!!! Hate to say it but not all ppl are honest. Anyway, we claimed well over 50 spawns and only had one drop....just the luck of the draw....but now i'm hooked on it...so i'ma go back and camp when i get home......oh yeah....WIDESCAN w/ voke dominates Flee...

For those of you who have killed the chyme less than 50 times and have gotten the drop at least one time i am jelous ; ;. my drop rate on this mob is 0/223, baslically i have long ago given up on getting any gil for my time spent there but nothing is as rewarding as messing with the gil sellers =)
Well, I decided to go to Ordelle's Caves to get a Flame Degen so I could get a map of Castle Zvahl. I recognized someone there so we teamed up to hunt Chyme. After a few spawns, he decides to leave because he hasn't gotten the drop all day. I was messing around in the room with the Napalams, killing them. I see Chyme pop so I run up to it and use Charm (was PLD60/BST10). I was already fighting a Water Elemental and was kind of low when I claimed him, but I didn't really care, since I was just messing around anyway.
About halfway through the battle I use charm again, but it didn't work. I just kept killing it and saw the ring drop. Lol, it was my first major NM drop so I told everyone I knew. :P
I opened trade window with a gilseller and put it up. It was my first kill of the night and it dropped hehe. It's on AH now.

Camping this right now with a friend, it's popped about 5 times, no claim. Anyway, just in case anyone's wondering, spawn time seems to be about 5 game hours (10 RL minutes) but drop rate is horrible. Also, this may have just been luck, but it wasn't as bad for Gilsellers as I thought it would be. There was only 1, who left after a single pop, and 2 other actual players camping.

this is my fav nm even though the drop rate is bad there are gil sellers everywhere but i seem 2 beat them as a SMN 51/WAR 25 exactly considering i am against monks with chi blast and flee all i have is a voke and i have 3 drops of achers ring and i wasnt down there long few days max 8 drops if u include my farm partner greyla i feel sorry 4 the gil sellers 2 lose is one thing 2 lose 2 a SMN/WAR lol even though 2 be fair i have a good record with this thing lol

I was out camping These litle dudes whit my friend and really its the first time i tried them ... a lot of ppl told me its a waste of time cuz drop rate sux. Well we go in and the Gilsellers are there as always and i was thinking damm i came and RNG54/THF15 thf and my friend ast THF50/WAR25 then we start geting almoest all the claims then after the 3dr one Bam! Archers Ring. So it was early so we desided to keeep on ..at 5one Bam! an othe rone ^^ i was happy cuz we made 1.2Mil in like 1 hour. I dont think moon fase afects the droprate cuz it was at 68% and drope rate was ok.

Decided to go hunt my RSE tonight. A little overdue, but i need the money. So, i'm looking for a chest and invite an LS friend to come help. I check the area search to see the familiar 24/7 SE elite gilselling A-hole ******* names, and to my astonishment they weren't all there! Muonika and a few of the Crt's weren't there. Hohihiho was still there but he left within the hour. So, we can't believe they're not there. There're "normal players" running around asking, "where are all the gilsellers?" However, there were a couple players whose mannerisms suggested that they were replacements, we had one pop zone to ourselves for a good couple hours.
That's not the amazing part. After claiming the Chyme twice with no ring drop, we got the drop 3 times in a row!! Unfreakinbelievable. Only drops of the night, but WoW, unprecidented. Only two of us in the party at the time, me Mescalito, and my LS bud Atrubion. I'm still in awe.

will..... in my case , when i first helped my whm friend to get it ( she want it for solo ) we gat almost 20 claim one after another + Tom(s) hate + not a single drop ( i learned after that that NM = no WS + no Magic :P ) and i was 45 THF btw and she was whm 60
as when i get to 55 i camped them for 3 hours , i dont know why , but it seam that whenever i feel it will pop in a place it just pop there but 0 drop so far ><

Yes wish SE would get rid of the Gil sellers, it isnt that hard to do. It gets bad when you cant even play a game without getting angry at people cutting you off and every turn
Could someone please tell me what they have chanegd with this mob with the recent updates, and where the mob spawns. i went there last night to where is used to spawn, and it was not there,(maybe i went the wrong way) but anyway could u help me out pelase.

I have camped this little slimy punk now for about 1 week. I out claim the gil sellers all the time, since half the time they are botted out. It's funny i nail them hard at 2-3 spawn spots for about 2 pops a peice before the guy watching over these bots keys into what i am doing. He becomes alot more alert at this point and ruduces my claims to about 50%. I have laid witness to them violating the User agreement hundreds of times. I have called in the GM hours before going their reporting a violation that i know i will see i have caught the gil sellers full on botting with GM right their, hold a mob for over 30 Gm just gave waring to kill it, attempting to mpk me with a GM comeing twords us. Nothing sever has heppend for any of this, an fact aftering talking with the GM's like 7-10 times they are starting to sound more more and more like bot's since they just repete them self's and dont do $hit. If you hate the gil sellers as much as me do something about complain all the time get your firends to complain, and have them tell their friends to tell others to complain. If they start getting hundreds of complants every day for the say gil sellers all the time every day non stop just maybe they will do somthing about it.
whhen would a rdm be able to solo this guy? i will sub bst so i wont have problems with voke.
Rdm can solo him at about 45 maybe and for sure 50..

I play on Titan as well DFEU, CURTISJOHN, FYUHOLE, SHORERO, and Victoriouspampa have been there 24/7 for the past 6 months atleast. DFEU and Curtisjohn speaks english and two other speak chinese (not sure what shorero speaks as i dont camp near him). I know some are not bots after a few claims and /ems about lousy gil sellers i got a flood of chinese text with the little evil faces of hate. They do ask you to PT....but as one guy I was camping with explained, they invite and set pool to quartermaster. If a drop is made she (usually DFEU or Curtisjon) will kick you and take the ring. They cover all the areas where he spawns and at one point for 2 days in a row had the only name listed as the seller for the rings. Victorious seems to be the one thier blm hp's to sell the rings. They have recently started running scripts as I saw DFEU 'voke a jelly next to chyme on several occastion when it was not in its exact location her script was looking for. This being said a GM call seems to be useless. DFEU who i beat out quite frequently for the claim will begin to fallow you after 2 claims. I gave her fair warning and GMed her. Did little use. Being mad about the GM call she bagan trying to link jelly's with it when I out claimed her again (not sure if they link but the attempt was made) another GM call and again nothing. Bringing up the fact that they are here 24/7 and log out at the same time every day for exactly 10 mins for 6 months removes the possiblity for a single human to be up for that long. GMs seem to have little concern for this fact or their tactics. And to my knowledge MANY people comlain and nothing is done. Makes you sick that they control the price of the rings which at present are currently 50k over the price of a sniper. And their mear game time negates them being anythign other than gil sellers using a 3rd party prog. Seems like SE could monitor your online time and if you've been logged on for a week straight not in a main city or lvling; your either the biggest tweeker in the world or a gil selling bot/char. Either way they should ban you so you can get some much needed sleep or because of your obvious violation of the rules. /sigh but i'll be back there tomarrow and for the next month with my 4-leaf bud, TH, and a lucky egg hoping the rumors of TH glory on these itms is true and i can get one drop atleast.

i no how wot u mean gil sellers that never sleep i no of 4 on my server that some how never need sleep but that being siad they lag cos i can destroy half of them in claims with a SMN/WAR i hate gil sellers how can gms let them get away with staying in 1 area for ever controling the auction and even worse holding up play i had a BST charm it and refuse 2 let it go called the gm and for once they did something didnt really work cos he was there the next day doin it again and again i hate the ones that party when u beat them they just hold up the spawns it takes the **** the gms need 2 sort it out
yeah even with a party of 6 of em i still beat em most of the time...
