Vana'diel Bestiary: Sleet Gigas

This is not a NM, a few updates ago the changed it so it used the normal skin and cons normaly. it was just a mistake.
What exactly is this NM for?

this picture of this monster it has grey skin and red eyes, i just killed it and it looked like a normal gigas, *green skin* also i got a magnolia lumber from it.

Yeah they changed it in the last big update to look like a normal one and not con as a NM.

lol 5 minutes down the road and he popped again beat him again hadnt even healed from the first fight. same no drop except the 12 exp and 71 gil this time.

just beat the hell out of this thing 55 drg/war got 15 exp and 67 gil. gotta love the pail grey skin and red eyes combo though.

Bebop & I were going for Miser Murphy, the first part of my Artifact pimp hat- I was 59 at the time, Bebop was 60, we pwned this Gigas on the way, was hoping for cool drop since it came up as NM, but nothing at all :-(

I was on my latest 5-1 run (making it five times now, I'm a monk) when we saw this. We were split up, 3 who teleport Vazhl, the other 3 walked. I was with two other tarus, a brd and whm, and we killed it so fast it was pathetic. Even for a NM he's got low HP for his level. We encounted another one a little further in towards Fei'Yin, this time all of us together.
When doing LB2 a few days later, we waited in Xarcabard for the walkers, and they saw him too, and killed him. He doesn't drop anything other than gil (we've never been low enough to get exp and therefore the crystal).
Anyways, he always spawns during Ice weather, or at least it's always Icey when he's spawned for me. I think it's just for kicks and giggles really, Ice weather brings out Ice Giants.

I was at the lake near where this guy spawns, doing the "Love and Ice" quest for Carmelo in Bastok. I didn't know anything spawned there, so while waiting around for the right weather, I see a high lvl PLD show up and start killing the two Gigas in the area. I figured maybe he was there to do the quest too.
While fighting an Ice Elemental, I see this guy spawn. He's huge (and at the time, he was the color in the picture) and the PLD immediately runs over and vokes it. I get done fighting my elemental and /check the Gigas. It's {Impossible to Gauge} so I cheer the PLD on.
My question is, why is this an NM if it doesn't drop anything? Is it for a quest or just for kicks?
Anyway, the area it spawned in when I saw it was by the southern-most lake in Beaucedine. ^^

i've killed this thing a couple times, and none of them recently...like at least a month ago... i'm thinking he's like the NM gigas in the towers that only drop socks and bracelets, and would guess they're all arre drops...he's gotta have something more than ice crystals on him... and as far as gil goes, i got almost 300 when i killed him the first time, and about 200 seems average (that's with thf subbed tho)... i don't know, i'll prolly keep looking and eventually we'll pin down what it is he drops...

This is an NM, Its skin color has been changed to Blue. Was strange I was going to Fei'yin to Help do Smn AF legs at the Cloister of Ice and saw a strange Looking Gigas all in Blue with red eyes it Conned Impossible to Guage so i proceeded to attack it and it died very quick. I do think its a lower 40's mob. It didn't drop anything though.
Yep, he's a NM now. SE must've changed it with the most recent update. It's kind of strange though. I don't know why they would do that. He didn't drop anything for me either, except some gil. I wonder if it was a mistake on SE's part. Someone else mentioned he respawned very quickly. I wonder if SE had meant to put a new NM spawn in the Sleet Gigas's place and messed up...
Killed this today w/o it touching me, 57Drk. Yes it is a NM, but all i got was a little gil >.<

It conned Impossible To Gauge to me, killed it twice ( it has very short pop time), and no drop except some gil and exp, I'm 53.
