I've never touched a pixie before, never been in a party that attacked a pixie. I've traded 25 bottled pixies to the spring even and still these guys have not cured me once. I even used convert right next to one and went down to red hp, and nothing...
These are only located in the Witchfire Glen in Grauberg [S]. You can release bottled pixies there as well in order to increase the pixie population and cause them to pop in the present.
