Today (11/14/2007), my Son was on the Mhaura to Selbina ferry and they attacked during the day light hours.

DRK41/RDM20 these and Crossbones check only EP to me.. got to fight them for my first time.. fun... i got the Sand Charm on the 2nd Pirate attack that i got to fight in today.. dont have the quest though

These drop ice spikes also... i killed one and got it the other day, then got destroyed by all the hundreds of crossbones and **** that was swarming on me

ok i was drg 43 and took the ship.
pirate attack.
i was like lol too easy i begin to fight (slow fight because of polearm) and in the middle of the battle i check the mob ... EP.But i killed it easily.
Then more and more poped and attacked some noobs so i killed them all.
when i was in red hp i go downstairs to rest.
some noob came downstair with 2 of these ... you can imagine my deslvl ... some whm raised me on the deck in mhaura i and i took the ship again ^^

when these appear on ship? im a 44rdm/16whm and i wanna go **** some pirates up >_>.i rode it twice and never say pirates,plse tell me when they spawn on ship,and wich ship selb > mhura or mhura > selb,thansk
well, i once took the ship 40 times in a row because i wanted to see pirates but didn't seen any. :|
i hate this things. i was fishing on the boat and my charcter got stuck and wouldnt move at all and this things attacked the ship but i was oh so lucky to 52 ppl started fighting them and saved me

I beat one of these and it dropped a dark crystal for me.
Last time I was on a boat those pirates appeared and I was nakkie!! I wanted to kill them but Id get killed
iwas messing around the ship at level 25 thf, and then i haeard the music change. i was like .. "wtf?" and a ship wight aggored me. I fleed all the way down into the boat, waited 15 secs, the door open and living hell was waiting for me. i died.
I dont see "Crossbones" on the skeleton mobs list.

I did the pirate battle solo at 55 rdm, wasnt too hard as long as you dont aggro more than one wight at a time.
For those interested, these drop the sand charm for a quest in mahaura (Ive seen two charms drop during pirate attacks).

I took the boat ride simply to have some fun with pirates on my DRG. They were all pretty easy, few hits and they were dead but then I got to the ship wight and it was an easy prey...freaked me out but it was still easy, just took a bit longer.
ship wights still check easy prey at lvl 47, which means they are a level 36-39 mob

Im sure that the ship wight is like lvl 36-38 or so and the other pirates maybe 25-30.I soloed them at lvl 38 but I needed help with the ship wight.

Im a lvl 44 paladin and the wights are Easy Prey to me so im guessing they are around 35-40 and the crossbones are around 25-35 because they are weak to me.

I am a lvl 27 DRG and my polearm skill is capped at 84 atm, pentathrust last time I checked was 150. Maybe your on some weird beta server. At lvl 27 the only polearm skill which does multiple hits is double thrust the first 1 you get.

I'd wager Crossbones were around 31 or so, saw a mithra 32 RDM take one, but took a ton out of her. With low HP everything agro'ed and she died. =|
A 40 PLD can take just about all the crossbones, but Ship wights are the test for him, I think they're NM marked as well. If pirates pop, and you're strong enough, smack the wight down first, then the BLM Crossbones. Both can drop Ice Spikes, which is the only way to get it, the WAR types can't.

Is this the Skeleton NM that has the pirate hat? Not as a drop I mean, I don't think there is a pirate hat in this game, but does his sprite have a pirate captain hat on?

lol ya not to mention id like to see any party that can take on "a few" IT mobs and live through it :D took on two IT orcs(linked) We were lvl 26-28 in the downs today and whole pary was massacred before we could even zone. and the zone was ten steps away! hahahaaah
