Umm.... where the hell can i find one of these guys in bubu peninsula?

These leeches can be found on the beaches. Most people go to the southern beach because, i think, there are more leeches there. If you look on the map of bubu (lol bubu) the southern beach is split. I recomend you take the beach on the west (or left) side.

get leeches from buburimu peninsula. easy kills and i got drops for me and two friends in about an hour. poison leech
err can i solo more than 2 of these suckas as a 32 pld with latest armor

DONT GET THE RUBY FROM QUFIM over 1000 LEECHES later i got the fing ruby i had 2 japanese players lvl 60drk/pld and 73rdm/blm and a lvl 45thf helping me kill leeches we killed off the whole map many times over and it took us 2 solid hours of it ahh go to bubura penisula for sure
As a BLM, I have farmed several times in Buburimu Pen.
I look at these guys gleefuly, because I know they have
the Ruby for the advanced job I want. It makes me drool
when I see one. But, since they still rate as Easy to Decent,
I always avoid them. Any idea as how tough they are vs. a Level 30

Um... I think I did it @ blm32 but found nothing after 100 battles with these.... leeches...
then there is a THF was lvl over there... and know that I was looking for the SMN's Ruby had found 1 and gave it to me...

The ruby is Rare/ex. It can't be traded, and you can only hold one at a time.

it actualy can be traded... but in the the traditional sense...
If it is in your treasure pool you can invite the person and pass on the item, i have done this with the kazam keys and such.

I still think they are cute. And they don't walk by, then bounce by.
me and a friend killed like over 200 in a night so we tried it again last night and we got 2 rubys in 10 kills..

Heh it was sweet solo'n in Bubu fer a little bit then, outta the blue a lvl 75 japanese thf offers to help me got it in like 5 min after he joined me
i have been killing them in Buburimu Peninsula for about 10 hours as a lvl 30 thf/war
and i only get blood never the ruby

These leeches still drop the ruby.
Last night, I decided to do my brother a favor on his new character. He's just hit level 30 WHM (He's also level 27 BLM, 15 when subbed)
So I went, and killed a couple leeches with a friend. The ruby dropped in a little over 40 minutes.
My brother doesn't know it yet, but I activated the SMN quest for him, and got wind, calm, and water for him before warping him back to jeuno.
Imagine how surprised he will be, when he changes zone to a new weather pattern, and gets the unexpected cutscene :-)

.....Ordelles Cave they WILL aggro, we had a party for Eco-monster and someone decided to get close to one, which had been close to like 15 others. Death..

Where in this cave are they? I wandered around in it for a while last night, but didn't find any poison leeches.
ack... it was the first time i enterd this cave.. i was lvl 34 at the time , looking for they key o the chest for the RSE armor, and acedently enterd the section with about 10-15 of theese bad guys.... It was a swarm of leeches.. needles to say i died very quickly. i didnt know that the "ALL" would aro me like that..

am i able to solo this guy at level 27 and get a Carbuncle Ruby?
Be wise and wait until 30, and even then I'd bring a friend or two. If another one walks by during a fight, you're gonna have a problem with two, even at lvl 30.

We have had these hop through our party several times, and not one has agrod, they will link though.
And thier Acid breath attack is an AOE and deals damage AND does STR DWN effect.

they also drop carbuncles ruby require for the summoner quest.
