u guys would be better off in Beadeaux cuz they tend to be a lot easier, and remember they're weak to light so i (50WHM/whatever) can take em to half health with a Holy ^^ Banish 2 takes out about 1/4th HP on most :)
well me and 4 of my ls buddies decided to camp Ooze out of pure boredome, and we were poor. At first it was me, a lvl 33 nin/16 war and a sam 45/???. Anyway when we got to Oozes spawn pt there were 2 of them. So the sam engages, and i help. Believe it or not, the Sam dies, and i kill the last one by a thread. After getting a raise, we camp a bit more till my other ls mate a 46 drg/15 thf for treasure hunter comes. After fighting for a while, the sam randomly leaves, and its just the 2 of us. Then my other friend, a 32 drg/16 war tags along, and after killing Ooze 37 times we get 2 earings and a halp dozen slime oils. We got both earings on Darksday. There was also a lot of competition, as well as me and the lvl 32 drg kept dying.(really nice JP 59 whm raised us atleast 6 times ^_^) Well to make a long story short, i think the drop rate on any other day besides watersday or darksday is pretty much miniscule. My assumption is TH1 doesnt really help because even with it we got no drop besides darksday. Well anyway it ended happily because we split the profit on the 2 dodge earings, and walked away with a couple of oils and a nice pocket-full of gil( 50k each 2 be exact 75k each on pandemonium)

I was here for 8 1/2 hours killing these things, no competition at all, and then some PLD walks up and vokes one before I grab it. I didn't think much of it, until she said [Thank you]to me. I'm thinking wtf, when I see her bazaar flag go up, thinking oh hell no... sure enough, theres my Spartan Cesti funds sitting in someones bazaar... I was very pissed, so I just killed garnet's for maul's until my inventory was full.... luckily I had 800,453 gil after I sold everything, and barly got my Cesti... anyway this isnt about my story, point is, extremly rare drop.. no fair >_<

around 100kill and no drops >.>, even with TH2 on Valefor. it IS fun to camp since i outvoke all the jp's but never even got a single drop, just 3 oils, BUT tomorrow it just you and me Ooze be rdy to pop and drop!!!!!
The Ooze can be soloed below the lvl of lvl 40. but it's not gonna be an easy fight. As a drg 34(use to be lvl 39 >.<) i have camped ooze plenty of times with frieends and by myself. i cirrently around 2/35 on him. so any way for you drgs out there that are looking to kill ooze dont use a lance if your around my lvl. lances have long delay and therefore can lose precious hits on that slimy *****. Use a spear instead because you'll hit more and gain tp faster, and to conquer the lower dmg use a kabob. Now that ive said almost everything there is to soloing him at a low lvl as a drg i must warn you that you must be at full hp and tp when you fight it, oh and make sure you have your wyvern^^

theres about 5-6 gilsellers in leviathan's beauduex, i usually spends 2 hrs aday there camping these, and today only 2 gilsellers were there, i called a pld/war friend to even the scales and hes 1/20 ( im drg/thf ) after the 60 drk and us compete for a bit, i had to go soon so we do our last 4, i call wyvern but his stun connected anyway ><, so we take the second pop and my friend on the ledge gets the 2 that pops while the drk gilseller is fighting quads, 2>1 3/4 pops not bad, not a single earring tho
DAMN this Oooze! I had to have killed over 100 of these damn things and no earrings frustrating as hell, why would they make a sucky drop like this so damn hard to get either there retarded or i'm killing the wrong damn ooze i guess I'll try Ranguemont or Beadeaux either way i will get a drop from one of these DAMNEDABLE Oozes if it's the last thing i do!
yea. About the ooze. it drops in beuduex only and the drop is still very rare and overcamped by gil sellers. although the best time to go there is at about 4-6:00 real time. idk why but the gil sellers are never there at that time so good luck and happy camping!^^

ive been all over gusgen (lv49drg) and havent seen him yet. i need the ooze for the teak lumber. can anyone help me out with the <pos> of ooze in gusgen?
the Teak Lumber only drops off the ones at Phanauet Channel.

First, the ooze in Beadeaux drops the dodge earring and that's it. I don't think any of the others drop it. The one's in (i believe) Castle Oztroja drop the Bull Earring. In Beadeaux 2 spawn in the little alcove @ G-7. They both spawn in basically the same place, one may appear on the box occasionally. Another one spawns on the eastern ledge of H-7, but can also spawn above the door/entrance to the Curse/Mutes that lead to the other areas. I haven't confirmed whether these 2 points are the same ooze spawn or not yet. Also, another spawns on the peninsula-like ledge where G-6&7 and H-6&7 meet. These are the only spawns I know so far. Hope I helped a little.
Me and my friend RDM 54, went to Beadeux to camp these, we went to the spawns and got rady, me being 53rng/26war * i subbed war for voke* these things wern't to bad of a fight, so we killed a bunch beating the gil farmers that were here on Unicorn server, they just didn't drop, we just gave up.

Can anyone tell me where these spawn in Gusgen Mines? And do they also drop the earrings in the mines? Thanks.

well ive been here in Beadeaux for a day now and theres a JP pld named Earth that camps the oozes like me and i always get the first one that spawns at G-7 and another spawns about 15 seconds after, i normally can get flash off on this one but whats total BS is that ill flash then he flashes AFTER me and claims it, ive called a GM and all they say is any monster unclaimed is fair game but thats also BS because I CAN SEE IT CLAIMED TO ME FOR ALMOST 2 SECONDS BEFORE HE CLAIMS IT, WTH
It is the lovely effect of server lag you have witnessed. Since the JP players are much closer to the main server than we are, enemies spawn on their screen before they do on ours. You may have seen it claimed to you, but it was merely a consquence of lag as the JP player had more than likely claimed it before you even saw it. What a *****, huh?

One day i was bored so i went in Beadeaux and i saw 2 people leave the ooze spawn point so i decided ill stay since i was the only person there and within min an ooze poped i killed an dand i got the dogded earing i was soo hape withing 3 sec of killing that one another one poped i killed him too and i got anther earing so i went 2/2 i was amaized and i got really lucky (i soled them both for 40k each in Siren)
Do they drop the earings in sea serpent grotto?

can somebody please hook me up with the ooze spawn points =)
Killed 3 today in Beaudeax when i logged on. Was there last night for the augury shell and when i logged on, there was the ooze. Killed him and then rested and took 2 at once with invincible. Then headed to kill Gascon since i didn't get the shell last night. No drop on the oozes and 2 JPs came when I was killing the last 1 of the 2 simuls and they were kinda pissed. For the record, i was able to pull them off the ledge with Flash.

On Bahamut they go for 50k each. I think ill just save my time and just buy 2 of these instead of campin them...i dont think i have a high enough charachter anyway

I killed about 5 of these while farming Old Quads, and only got 3 Slime Oils. So... yeah. Lol, I know I can't expect to get much of anything with just 5 kills, but I thought I'd add my two cents. =P And they are kind'a camped on Asura, but not nearly as much as you guys are describing... Anywhere from zero to 3 people camping, total for the whole zone. O.o
The dodge earring drops are really rare. Over my entire career I've killed about four dozen of these oozes and didn't get a single earring.
I feel sorry for you. I went 1/10 with this and I was lvl 35rdm/17thf. All out melee mp for cures (had time on my hands lol). Not to badly camped on Kujata during 12noon EST to 12midnight EST but after that the JP players come out for their piece of the Ooze.
Is there anyone that can confirm an earring drop in Ranguemont Pass?

In Beadeaux, I killed about 40-50 or so of these and got one... on the first kill. If you can, it's best to get on top of the ledge and go all the way around back near the entrance where you've probobly seen them spawn.
I think about 5 spawn around the area that Bi'Gho Headtaker spawns. In fact, two spawn right where he does, and about 2-3 spawn right on the ledge in that general area. Definitely a rare drop but at least you can camp the NM that spawns there and farm Quadav Helms (Old Quadavs) / Mauls, Reraise (Garnet Quadavs). As always, farming here is much easier if you have Drain and Aspir if you're a somewhat low lvl.

Wow i didn't know these monsters drop these items. I saw likw 5 of them near me when i was killing copper quadavs for the rank 3 mission. Can i solo this monster with a lvl 37 ninja?
Just tried camping them today, and I managed to get 1 earring out of 10 kills.

I don't know if this is common or not, but I've killed 35 Oozes and still have not had an earring drop. I've seen slime oil only three times so they don't appear to drop much of anything. I do have treasure hunter, too.

I'm under the impression that Dodge Earrings are dropped from Oozes only in Beadeaux.
There are 2 spawn locations (for a total of 3 Ooze spawns). Both locations are very close to each other. One is on the entrance level, at the dead-end in G-7 (the one that you have to run south to get to..) Two Oozes spawn here. The other location is on the upper level, to the northeast of that area. On the map found here, the spawn point is between the "A" mark and the peninsula in G-7, but just a tad bit north on that raised section.
Only camped the Oozes for a short time tonight. And yes, camp.. there always seems to be a few players camping it. (Reminds me of Stroper Chyme.) >.< However, I was 1/8 with the Dodge Earring drop, with Treasure Hunter I. At AH on Siren, I've seen them for 40k a week ago and tonight from 30-34k.
