Ochu was a piece of cake i saw him once i came out ofcrawler next he aggroed me i pwn him with my pld <pld41> when i fought him i was 39
I saw one of these on the way to crawlers nest to skill up my greatsword and it ranked Easy Prey to me, and I'm a Hume DRK52/WAR26, I didn't fight it, but I was surprised it ranked an easy prey here.
Was coming out of Crawler's Nest, 35RNG/17NIN. Walked right into one of these, nothing happened. It turned away, I stood still and it turned around and looked straight at me. Moved towards me and nohting happened.
I carried on walking, no aggro at all.
What happened? I didn't have any buffs either.

Ive been taking these on at lvl 36 with my SMN/whm, i have to use ifrit and burning strike like 3 times, but it does the trick, kills time when u are waiting for a party in crawers nest. just dont let them hit u, also the ground tremors when they are close and it can be scary lol.
Yes, i never try these alone, i always have a friend with me, but i did beat one before as my 44THF, i got a pochette thing...

talk to someone in the Dinning Hall in Ru'Lude Gardens(I think) and he will ask you to find random items from Conterfit Gil (Goblin Smithy's in Yhoater Jungle) to this pochette. i thought that might clear things up for some of you

Wow...I was bored, wondering through Rolanberry Fields, and came across this Ochu over by the CN entrance.
At time of posting, I'm a *taru* 46RDM/23BLM (yes, the physically weak taru).
Any-who, I thought, hey EP 'no problem' right? No...I had to keep Paralyze/Slow/Gravity/Blind on him at all times to keep from getting the crap beaten out of me.
Plus, he would run through my stoneskin in 2~6 hits...not good. I honestly though I was done for.
By luck, he only used 'Bad Breath' on me 3 times during the fight, and I ended with 125/621HP and 3/561MP. And only then because I happen to have some Echo Drops on me when I was silenced.
Have fun with these mobs. :~)

I just fought one as a MNK 40 and it conned "easy prey" but still was kicking the crap out of me. I only survived because I hit Hundred Fists, and even then was only left with 200/960 hp. This thing hits 2-3 time each round and seems to have very good accuracy since it hit me 90% of the time.
this mother is tough. it conned ep to me at 40 as sam and i had been beating ep quadavs all day using only meditate. right off the bat i could tell i was gonna lose the fight. i two houred and beat him with 4 enpis. i ended the fight with 200 hp.n hits fast and hard
Heh, had made it to Jeuno at level 18 alive. I left Jeuno, curious at what Rolanberry feilds and well this thing seemd to be waiting for me and I was dead...had my Home Point in Sandy...fun huh?
Heh, as a level 39DRG/WAR with Ember out I thought I could take one that conned Easy Prey with low evasion and defense. So I run up to it from behind like I do every mob that I solo...jump, high jump, attack, get on opposite side of Wyvern....
Well, what happened then, you ask? CHAOS, that's what. I called for help, and was only lucky that a high-lvl SMN was running by. I swear, he cure-III'd me about three to four times...then summoned Ramuh and beat the crap out of it. I was still under bad breath, but he cure III'd me to full and I was left shuffling pitifully to the Crawler's Nest (Gravity effect from Bad Breath).
My advice? Wait till these guys are Too Weak to even attempt, but even then you should still treat it like an Even Match. Bring antidotes/remedies, too.
And that's my 2 gil on these murderous plantoids.

well i tried looking this up with no sucess EXCEPT, a *** website that had the info on ALL the new items BUT my computer couldnt translate any of it. if you are interested in finding it. do a google search for Naphille Pochette and you will find the ONLY website with any information about it.
I got an odd drop from one of these while farming, an EX item named "Naphille Pochette" NO CLUE what it is or what it's used for please Help!! No info anywhere on websites!!

I also got the "Naphille Pochette" drop a couple of them actually. Maybe this is a quest item for an as yet unreleased quest. However anyone with any info it would be greatly appreciated. Also they drop Marlboro vines as I'm sure people know.
Be careful when taking on one of these. They hit fast and hard. I took one on when it conned Decent to me and I died. I went back and tried again after a few levels with one that conned as Easy and I was still losing so I used Warp Scroll and lived. They double hit so fast I had trouble using healing and got disrupted over 50% of the time. I won't mess with one again unless in a party or it cons To Weak.
