I think it's funny how you always get that ONE person in a party that go "Don't use wind! They are strong against wind, 'they drop wind crystals!'"
Quicksand Caves was full, so my party of 44-46 came to Garliage and leveled up off of these, very nice EXP and fast kills as well, around 200-250 each battle.
They drop kindred's seals too

I had a group of noobs ask me to join *my thf was lvl 12, they were 5-6* and I decided to teach them the joys of getting owned... So i took them to the entrace to this cave and told them you could steal from the bats and they didnt aggro... Yep, you guessed it. The guy runs up, the bat squeeks, and by the time he can turn around, hes taking a dirt nap... All 4 of them fell the same way :p heh, its a fun thing to do when your bored, I guess.

I know you'll think this is crazy.. but while I was killing Goblins and Carrion worms in the earlier areas of the tomb, I saw..well.. saw the battle text of a high level party fighting Funnel Bats. Were they actually at the tomb or does the Bostaunieaux Oubliette actually run under the tomb area? Was I getting messages from underneath the ground?

There is another section in the tomb that is lvl 50+, what you saw WAS coming from underground.
