Well, I grabbed about 6 Darksteel Ores and a Fishing Rod and made my way down to Kuftal. I figured I'd try seeing if Phantom Worm was soloable as BLU75, and I knew already that I could kill the Devil Mantas. Anyway, on my way there, I see Yowie up, so I ask my LS if he's soloable, they say he's a little tough. So, I cast Ichi, Refueling, and Cannonball pull him down to the middle ramp. He was a little tough, but I managed to solo him down to 20% before shadows went down, and Ni wasn't up. Died shortly after, and Monkxiong+Tonitaru killed him the rest of the way. I would say he's definately soloable as BLU/NIN, I just didn't have Filamented Hold set, which would definately have given me an easy win.
(Also, Phantom Worm is soloable as BLU/NIN, if you play your cards right.)

well our kuftal pt just killed this guy, we saw him and went hey that could be fun. our set up is NIN NIN RDM BLM THF RNG lvl 57-59. well it was such an easy fight, just took a while. well we utterly owned him.. only got 1 yowie skin =( but alteast i got it ^^ and im broke so its a little gil for me. all in all, fun fight. yielded 196 exp, no chain and 3100gil. i also mugged 1100 from him.
Good job!! The other day, my partying was fighting around where he spawns and we decided to give him a go. Luckily we got him before the group of 75's got the claim. They were there fighting the Phantom worm and Devil Mantas. My party setup was Pld,War/nin,Rng,Whm(me),Rdm, and Blm. We ranged from 58-60. We got the Yowie skin... outlotted by 200. >.<
i solo this guy al the time for fun >.< so a thief can solo NP at all but i have +54 eva :)

My friend and I (68RDM and 75MNK) found this guy untouched the other day and we figured what the hell give it a shot. Very easy fight, started with a full set of debuffs then entered mele mode and cured the MNK when he needed it. Strange the gil-sellers had not snatched this up. Anyways dropped 1 skin(I hear it can drop several?) which sells for an impressive 600k on Fairy(land of evergrowing inflation).

After 3 Solo Attemp, i can say its almost imposible to kill him as THF75, mabe if u have enought chance to Evade evryting, that damn thing hit for 200~300 dmg.
Finaly got him in Duo. he Never hit me once, Me and Eradikator making a Awesome DUO PT ( he WHM73 Now ^^ ) Watch out when he hit 75 RR3 YES, Please!

tip, skill up your eva, then learn about eva caps related to mob acc. i tanked him as a 70 THF with only + 24 eva. keep him blind and he is a pushover.
btw, i killed him duo with a 71 blm and it only hit for 150 - 200

I was in a party the other day with my 57RDM. We were exping there for a while, had gotten around 14k exp in 2.5 hours. Then Yowie popped. The party setup was this, 57RDM/BLM (me), 58NIN/WAR, 58RNG/NIN 57THF/NIN 58WHM/BLM, and a 58BLM/WHM. It took a while and was scary a few times, but all the mages mostly just healed and enfeeble so they would not draw hate. I had the convert and just asked for a Regen and Cure IIIed myself. It was probably close to the most fun I have had in the game to this point, such a rush. Anyhow, it dropped 1 skin, 1 fire crystal, and about 1600gil. Also, the THF mugged it for 1500gil. We lotted and I got the skin. Sold for 30k on Midgardsormr.

killed it skillin with one of my friend on my ninja 67 nin and shes 68 whm, keeeled, it has bad evasion and good damn accuracy, i had good evasion gear and it take out shadows pretty quick. used 60 shihei whole fight lol lol. it gave me 200 something exp -.- makes it an VT or so for 67, 68 and on top it says its 64-65 and i think its BS. probably 70-72
Took him on last night with a lv56-58 party consisting of: RNG RNG RNG PLD WHM RDM.
We killed him (Yowie Skin, 2000g and 202xp), but the WHM died, probably due to the Worm that got aggro and decided to start spamming Quake on us ><

Um... At level 1 you wouldn't even HAVE Sneak and Invisible to even CAST the spell, duh! So you can't say how long the spell would last - because it would NEVER happen. Sheesh.

No, you're wrong. Only the magic spell sneak/invis are based somewhat on level. Casting sneak/invis on a level 1 will only last 1-2 seconds, but using potions will work just fine.
