i did the quest but tossed the egg cause i thought i was gonna do the ISNM but havent been able to yet.
can i get that egg back? >.>

Lol, in the South Sandy CS SE made a mistake. They talk about Humans in it. There are no Humans in the game, humes, yes, humans, no. lol
EDIT: I waited till next game day for my egg, didn't have to wait an hour :)

Technically they use the word human to group all the playable character races together.
Humans refers to Galka, Elvaan, Mithra, Hume and Tarutaru in general. Basically any non beastman humanoid.

I would have thought that they would have used the word people in game, not human.
Yea, Human is pretty offensive to those of us who despise and reject our own race... People would be better. Goodly folk, I dunno... Human indicates that they are decended from apes, and therefore exhibit many of the same traits. Taru are evolved Onions... Galka - who knows... Mithra are cat-folk... and Elvaan - well - obviously very little primate-blood running thru their veins...

The quest is easy especially for a BLM (Warp) (Yes Please!).
Hopefully we find out that doing the quest yields a less common chocobo than
Buying the egg. Sadly only time will tell for us all.

This is what i did:
1. Talk to Brutus at the Chocobo Stables Upper Jeuno (CS)
2. Choose: Release the Chocobo (CS)
3. Go to La Theine Plateau Position E-5 near the Ronfaure zone.
4. Examine the Chocobo Footsteppes and get a CS
5. Go back to Brutus at the Chocobo Stables Upper Jeuno
6. Talk with Brutus (CS)
7. Go to Southern San d'Oria Chocobo Stables and talk with the elvaan you saw in the last Brutus CS
8. Choose every option in the CS one time.
9. Go back to Upper Jeuno Chocobo Stables and talk with Brutus again (CS)
10. Wait 1 Real Life hour
11. Zone in and zone out when the 1 hour is over
12. Talk with Brutus (CS), after this you get a Chocobo Egg.
13. Go to your hometowns Chocobo Stables and trade the egg to one of the npcs, dunno wich exactly. Its one of the npcs you saw in the CS.
You completed the quest.
Now you can ask for all info on one of the npcs in the Chocobo Stable and watch how your egg/chocobo is doing atm on another npc.

the quest started by brutus is NOT REQUIRED to raise chocobo

that quest was added in during the ToA mission update patch. all you have to do to start raising chocobos is go to one of three main city's chocobo stables, talk to the new npcs, and trade the egg to the one that asks you for it. you can also have one chocobo being raised per main city. in order to check on progress of your egg, you must return to the city you started raising it in.

ok I got the egg, can anyone tell me what now?
I read on one of the sites, i think killing ifrit, that it was like 30 minutes before you could call it again. But knowing SE, it will probably be 24 rl hours.

I didn't know I can buy it at Jeuno...
Before I knew this,I got a Chocobo egg at Aht Urhgan BFNM,"Compliments to the Chef".
We all 6 got it,But I'm not sure whether It is 100% drop or not,and this BC was so hard -_-
And I'm not sure mine is different from one sold in Jeuno.(I hope)
I've heard other Aht Urhgan BFNM are easyer,Orobon's one is hardest,and can get Chocobo egg at other BC,too.

well y buy pone there prob going to be the most common chocobo meaning a yellow one. most likly for the rarer ones there going to be droped from nms so i think ill wait till the update to get an egg just incase.
Does anyone know for sure when the next update is i can't wait. I bought my egg the day of the last major update and i've been waiting. I want my Bird dammit.
