Since the update, I've been scouring every possible source to gather info. I have only focused on the area at M-7 on the 2nd map for these pellets. Here is the information that has been confirmed:
1. At the very least, the Meteor Quadav (RDM) & Chatoyant Quadav (WHM) at M-7 drop the pellets.
2. The drop rate is extremely low.
3. Poison Taster's Cape is not a 100% drop. In fact, I am unaware of anyone posting that they have received a drop.
Here's the information that would be most helpful, if anyone can confirm:
1. Do any other quadav at M-7 drop the pellets? My guess is possibly so. Both of the confirmed drops are from mage quadavs, which leads me to believe that the BLM might drop it as well. This is unconfirmed.
2. Do any of the Meteor or Chatoyant Quadav that are above ground drop the item? If so, the process could be sped up as there are many more available above ground, compared to the 1 of each type located at M-7.
3. Has anyone gotten the drop? There is a claim on BG forums that a BLM on Carbuncle has the item, but no screenshot or confirmation where the cape came from.
The toughest part of this process so far has been getting the pellets. Any information on additional mobs/locations to get them is greatly appreciated. At least for those that have been posting in forums, the drop rate is low for both the pellets and the NM. More info to follow as I get it.
