Cap
# Nov 23 2006 at 8:24 PM Rating: Decent
I think the cap on this is 25 not 27.
Synthed a stack of materials at 25 and no skill ups and no breaks.
Checked somepage and they have it listed as 25.
Sad Sad Sad

I have overwhelming Lightning energy with Mogenhancement Desynthesis. The only difference I've noticed in the mogenhancement is that I don't lose as many crystals.

So, rather than getting "Synthesis failed. You lost the crystal you were using." almost 75% of the time, it seems to now just get to the point where I either desynth the item or not.

I put 51 of these badboys in my mog house for Overwhelming lightning energy... but noticed that my desynthesis actually seems to fail more often... did anybody notice this as well?

Might've been a string of bad luck. Or, your expectations for impossible-to-miss desynth with all them things aren't what happened, and therefore seems weaker by comparison.

Yay Introduction to Psychology! :)

What I never mentioned before was that I was comparing the desynth moghancement given by 51 of these to the one given by the Acolyte's Grief painting, which has a Darkness strength of 4. I am well aware of the fail rate of desynths.

Did a bit more experimenting, and found a few more possible reasons this may not give as good of results:

- One theory states that the strength of the moghancement depends on the elemental strength of the furniture granting the moghancement. In other words, the Acolyte's greif painting may give a stronger moghancement than the tarutaru stool due to the fact that its elemental strength is 4, while the tarutaru stool strength is only 2.

- Another theory is that Darkness energy gives a more HQ synths. So, say you were desynthing earrings, you may lose earrings, but with Darkness energy in your Mog House, you would also get more HQ2 synths, which give you 2 ingots rather than 1. This would allow you to recover from losses, and would give better results, assuming equal earring losses for having lighting or darkness energy.

To me, it is unclear if having overwhelming energy will give a better desynth moghancement than, say, powerful or faint energy. I simply do not have enough results to say anything really.

That being said... I am seriously considering using a parser, and analysing the data I get from it. I think that would certainly give me a lot clearer a picture as to what's going on... my gut may lie, but the stats won't.

Anyone know the elemental strength of an individual one. I would like to get overwhelming with this, and well don't want to over do it (since it will be stuck in my main characters mog house stealing precious safe slots.

And yes, I know, the strength of tarutaru stool can't be that strong coming from something that small... but if you have ever owned a cat...
(Ok, couldn't resist one stool joke)

The singular Elemental Strength of a Tarutaru Stool is: Lightning (2) : Moghancement Desynthesis.

Please note that this is not the same thing as "Tarutaru Stool Sample", which is a r/x item dropped by Cardian Turdburglars in Horotutu Ruins.

Anyways.. thinking about getting 50 or so of these for moghancement: desynth. I have some paintings, but my moghancement sucks.. just have faint dark energy and no more wall space for more paintings. With 50 of these, I could have powerful lightning energy. I'll keep them on one of my warehouse mules when I'm not using them or turn them in for guild points. Seems like npc will be cheaper than making them myself.

It's moghancement: desynthesis
if you put in in mog house alone, if you put it together with other lightning items it'll have
moghancement: lightning
