Actually it's one of the ugliest body pieces in the whole game. In fact I would say it's probably a battle between this and level 10 scale mail for All Time Ugly #1.
I bet thats one sexy looking piece of body armour too, mommy I want it waaaaah :p
I assume the alchemy requirement was included because all other blood synths require alchemy, and because Black Beetle Blood is also used for the Blue Cotehardie recipe. However, the alchemy requirement for the Cote is also up in the air and is more likely to represent the need to manipulate the Malboro Fiber than the Black Beetle Blood.

Goldsmithign cap has to be like 60-62, possibly like 58,that happens with gold in alot of synths, it'll be a level 48 cap as a sub craft

I'm not sure about that alchemy requirement...Black Beetle Blood isn't used in any alchemy synths that I can see o.oa
anyone know what levels alchemy and Gsmithing are needed?

Are those levels correct? I know you can only have a total of 40 levels past 60 on every craft, but this one has.... wait for it.... 50. So I think you need to check that out again.
Good idea or not.. i mean i'm getting it anyways for looks but think i could use it anytime besides farming and walking around town?? taken in account PLD AF is same lvl.....guess not?
Some pretty hefty requirements on this beauty. 65 clothcraft, high enough alchemy to use beetle blood, and high enough goldsmithing to use platinum ingots.
