you can still desynth and get angelstone I just got one out of 12 desynths.

Has anyone tried to desynth the angel's flute for an angelstone since the Wings patches? I tried about 50 synths and got 0. My ratio used to be 1/7 for an angelstone and I'm at 94+2 woodworking before the patch. Can someone confirm that it can still be done after Wings' release?

yes this information is correct. I tried this last night just to verify it, heres what happened with one stack of parchment and 1 stack of rosewood. I made 13 of the flutes after all was said and done and then desynthed them. 2 HQ3 desynths(angelstones), 1 HQ2 desynth(rosewood), and 2 NQ desynths(parchment). I am only 72 WW, and only have maybe 2 items for desynth in my moghouse. I was suprised that I did so well on it really....but now for the bad news. The lumber sells for 70-90k on my server(Quetz), and the stones sell for 40k each. Now from what the other person posted it seems like the HQ rate isnt really worth trying for, IMO. Even if I could have desynthed 3 of the stones, after the price of lumber, parchment, and the crystals, i'd only be ahead like 10k. Oh and btw, every fail cost me the flute, i dont know why it just did.

Listen to this and I have done this several times in the past.
If you desynth an angel flute and get the HQ3 you get an angel stone worth about 200k on diabolos.. I am about 7/75 on the desynth with the angel stone obtained.
It's a hidden item and I have been experimenting with other instruments and seeing if anything good comes from them but no luck yet.
When I put about 25 tarutaru stools in my mh I got powerful lightning energy, then I got a better sucess rate on desynths.. Spent about 75k for mats since I HQ the lumber and had my friend make the parchment. So with good luck you can get about 20 synths from 1 stack of Rosewood and parchment.. GL

I'm WW lvl 63 and I made a stack of these without breaking one with no synth support. I thought I'd lvl up on these so I bought the rosewood lumber 65k gil, and I bought the parchments 25k gil. Out of all of the 12 I made I got 0.1 skill up. I'm feeling pretty ripped off of my skill. Wish I would have read the posts first.
I think a ls friend found a site saying the cap is 64. Im at 64 so i bought materials for 400k to lvl some on this item. I did NOT get a single 0.1 and i even got a +1.
=/ Thats because the cap is when you stop getting level ups on an item.
Total for 1 day is 5040

this item has a higher lvl cap then 63, that is what i am right now and just received .1 skill up twice while making this to turn into the woodworking guild
It's at least 65. NPC Ulycille gives me (59 WW, Craftsman) all the 65-69 recipes, angel's flute among them. NPC Amarefice gives me all the 60-64 recipes, except angel's flute.

I doubt the level is 69. At level 60 the recipe is shifted to Amaretice the regular support guy. So I'd say 65 then.
