Yeah I'm on Pandemonium and this shield costs about 1.5mil and that's the cheapest I ever see it for. HQ is 2mil usually and they're very hard to come by on my server. I'm a 60 PLD and fan of the General's and Admiral's shields as well. But I'd love to have this shield at 66 just because it has great defense and the VIT+2 adds some more defense to it. And a little extra VIT is always nice to have. Though I myself have never had over 1mil XD I really want it though so if the materials are cheaper I'll farm for them and find a really good goldsmith to make it. Hopefully the synth doesn't fail

omg gotta get me this sheild.very nice DEF, and the added VIT just tops it off. Vs.Lightning isnt anything to shout out about, but hey its a nice little bonus to have if its ever needed.
just got this shield a couple days ago, cost me 1.7mil on carbuncle, couple hours later one sold for 2mil...

All the current prices are ~1 mil gil on Cerberus.
There are a few that have sold in the past 2 months however that were 600k-800k.
I did my research on materials and on cerberus, the price of the materials is less than 1mil. It actually equals out to about 700k.
Diamond = 150k x4 = 600k
Platinum Sheets = 40k x2 = 80k
Kite Shield = Dirt Cheap (and I have saved mine from when I became a PLD)
Earth Crystal = Even cheaper.

I have had this shield for a while and I really like it, I'm low on gil right now and the option of selling it for 2mil in AH (Siren Server) is... I just cant go through with it, ill never sell this sheild til i can definitely find one a whoole lot better or quit PLD, which is not probably gonna happen
Ive been using this sheild and its very nice. I really wish SE would change the look of it though. To be such an excellent sheild It looks the same as my last sheild. geesh i was ticked when i switched sheilds lol.

Why waste all that gil when you can wait 3 more lvls and get an admirals or generals shield which is way better, and lower priced, or atleast it is on my server. Any one else run into this kinda crap? Mediocre gear being waaaaay overpriced.

No way it sucks. You compare it to the generals or admiral shield but the best they have is enmity+. This shield has much better def and also Vit+, for most ppl at this lvl u have enough mp and and abilties that enmity isn't as big a factor as vit. I kept my diamond till 73.
The shield isn't way overpriced. Even if it is less effective than the generals shield, its price is not based on that. The price is based on the materials used to make it. Look up platinum sheets and diamonds in jeuno sometime and you will see what drives the price.
Many people think things are overpriced, until they try crafting for a while and see that 90% of the weapons/armor made sells for less than material cost.

Right now to give you an idea of the prices on Kujata. A Platinum ignot which is required for for a Platinum sheet costs 120k each.
So right there that's 240k for platinum sheets.
Diamonds around 150k each so 600 k.
That's already 840k! Even if selling for only a 60k profit, that's a lot of risk for Critical failures.
Most goldsmithers or crafters for that matter, don't make any gil crafting NQ items. Goldsmithers only make gil crafting items for other goldsmithers.
