For a BLM heading to the dunes, would this be a good combo with an Astral Ring, an Empress or Chariot Band or an Eremite's ring, and two onyx earings?
I am trying to get it to at least lvl 20 so I can sub it on my RDM and then head to Jueno(?) complements of a lvl 40+ RDM ally for geting me there. I am trying to get there as quickly as posible.

I spent 5K gil on this b/c i'm from Windurst... so i couldn't use my CP on it.
I was about to buy the Linen Robe and Brass Hairpin for a total of around 3.5 - 4K but then i read about the tunic on here.. i never even noticed it b4.
And this should really benefit me seeing as i'm a lvl.12BLM.

Note to self: dont get this at lvl 10 white mage. Better to get doublet and brass hairpin. More MP and better to have if your gonna continue to lvl up in the dunes.

I wanted to get the royal footmans tunic either with my conquest point or bought from the AH. For some reason its unavaillable for purchase with conquest points, and its really hard to get in ODIN AH's. Anyone know where it went?
you can only get it with CP when the nation is in first place.

This is teh best Tunic for 1-10, so get it for lvl 10 the n sell it back one you reach lvl 11 and get the Headgear and Doublet, thats what i did. So basically your spending 3-4k on a 1 lvl tunic if you have money get it if not wait for the doublet
You don't have to have signet off to spend CP (conquest points). Just go down to the next available option. Also, I STRONGLY advise not wasting valuable CP on this item. There will come a time when you'll need those CP for much more useful equipment. A rank 1 item costs 1k CP, rank 2 is 2k, 3 is 4k, 4 is 8k, etc. You'll kick yourself later for wasting 1000 CP on a 2-3k item. You can also purchase items from other nations, but the cost is double. ie Rank 1 is 2k, etc
I have seen this a lot on WHM... it doesnt make sense to me, I mean, what does a WHM wants Int for? They dont need it. Also, I believe a doublet and a some kind of head armor works better... the Doublet is 10 defense, but add to it a Poet's Circlet and it becomes 15. Or if you add a hairpin you can get more MP, so I dont see any sense on this being in a WHM... but, oh well, I guess WHMs like to look like WHMs???

Actually, whm/blm make pretty good use of this. usually i have to play double-duty as healer and enfeebler, and the int helps my enfeebles stick so i can focus on whats really important. also, you can upgrade this to give more def and bonus MP. (only requires two cheapo items and a 20-ish clothcraft)
I'm a whm, i have it because i don't have the gil for anything, but i did have cp. agility is nice anyways, and i do occasionaly use black magic with my pathetic rdm sub. some of us don't have time to farm for four hours to buy optimum equip, i'm afraid. i would if i could, but right now i'm just trying to make it so i don't die in one hit.

With and without signet on, I get the following statement from the T.K:
"I am Aravoge, T.K., a Temple Knight. I am one of the guards charged with overseeing San d'Oria's conquest campaign."
"I cannot help you. You should go find a guard from your own country."

just because he cant spell a word doesnt mean hes stupid, and if it is the only thing you can get then get it tell you are able to get somethin better. So dont call people for misspelling a word.
honestly i think its kinda unfair....Sandy-ians can but a whole set of lvl 10 armor from CP's....us Windy-ians gotta wait till lvl 20....and most jobs cant use that stuff ><

This is available at any guard in San d'Oria you can spend your CP (conquest points) at. But in order for it to show up, San d'Oria has to be the first country in the world ranking. It costs 1,000 CP.

u can get it from sandoria for 1,000 conquest points, assuming u are from sandoria. i did that instead of speading the 5.5k they were going for.

LMAO thats nuthing compared to my server! In Remora server these tunics go for 15k-35k @ AH. Damn windy or bastok is always in first place> it sux to be a Sandorian >.<

I don't know why everyone is after this robe. Probably because it's the best robe to wear from Level 10 - 18. After that you'll want to pick up something better like the Priest Robe. You could just get the Linen Robe+1 and that would hold you until you hit L19 or L20. I suggest you just keep playing until you reach L16 or L17 and then head to San d'Oria and pick it up.

most people from 10-20 are at the dunes.
and BLM (mostly who i see wearing this) would like and can use the extra +1 INT more than the few more def. (mages should not be getting hit)
i personaly got a linen robe so i could wear a hat (hairpin, until i get my fungus cap)
, and just get 2 ermite rings for +4 INT.
but thats just my 2 wulongs

there's one up at shiva/sandoria but it's MORE than 1k over the well high 3k price history.. GRRRRRR I couldnt even get it for 4K.

this is how it goes. you can ONLY buy the Ryl Footman's Tunic from the T.K. guards when San d'Oria is 1st place in conquest. it shows up in Rank 1 stuff for 1,000 cp. scroll all the way to the bottom. Remember. only when San d'Oria has FIRST place. You need to be a member of the country to buy it.

I have checked all 3 gates for San D'Oria T.K.s and none of htem have the tunic. They have the vest but not the tunic. Will someone please post where this is from. I cant use almost any of the c.p. gear and its annoying. They gave casters the shaft

Can you wear headgear with this? That seams like an important factor in selecting this piece and with the hood in the picture it looks like a White Mage robe. That an incorect icon?

I would imagine TK is in San d'Oria. The Freesword's equipment is from Windhurst. I have yet to see Bastok, though. =( Hoping to travel there soon--especially since they're ahead in the Conqeust at the moment on my server.

Yes, sorry about the late reply. Been playing the game a lot lately. :) TK's are Temple Knights in San d'Oria. If you have a friend in San d'Oria they can purchase it for you. Unfortunately, if you are not a citizen of San d'Oria, you cannot buy this item from the guards. You will have to try the Auction House instead.
