If you can get that new obi that puts you constantly under the effect of Darksday, this item becomes even sicker.

I have a hard time believing the Shadow Lord drops this fine armor, whoever submitted the change should post some proof that this happened.
This is, by far, the best back mantle a Paladin can ever have.

By god... I just learned of this mantle today... Its just too awesome... Just the thought of having the Koeing/Kaiser or AF2 with this just makes me tingle all over... This gonna require a lot of work to get... "The road to become the ultimate paladin..."

This is said to drop from the mega boss of Dynamis-Xarcabard, the Dynamis Lord. Forget Kirin, this is the toughest mob in the game. He is somewhat larger than the Shadow Lord, but looks much like him. He summons 2 unsleepable dragons Yin and Yang into battle with him and has a penchant for instantly killing alliances with one move, to say nothing of any 2hr ability he may have.
As far as I know only one person on Ifrit has this cape. A recent patch 'fixed' a problem where 'certain mobs' in Dynamis were prevented from using their special abilities. Speculation abounds that it was the Dynamis Lord that they fixed, and as such nobody has gotten his cape since.

Dynamis Lord is cake compared to Vrtra. Vrtra is a HNM in the very depths of King Ranperre's Tomb. Only 2 or 3 servers have killed it as of yet. It is level 95, and summons lvl 80 mobs to its aid. Take a look for yourself if you'd like.

yea i've heard that pretty much the only way to beat it is for the people to take a huge xp cut, such as dying like 18 times in a row and have a brd constantly casting goddess hymnus(reraise) on everyone
Yeah, I've been trying to find an LS that will go to fight this mob, but as of now, no one has the shadow ring/mantle on fairy (that I know of). There have been 5-10 really good tries by some Ls's, but the other atempts I heard of were pretty bad. =/

Yea I got mine and I started using it with my AF2 for when I use PLD/NIN so im untouchable(almost) and for when I use Kaiser for Ballista and such and it is the best armor i have ever had, seen, and played with.
