Paktong Ingot
Was out killing fomors in the Sacriarium and got two of these and a few ballon cloths while searching for our keys for 4-3. Very nice:) make some gil, kill some mobs, get some good exp (lvl capped at 50, and we were exp chaining IT mobs:P). Took a while to get our keys and I didn't have the stupid Genki 1 completed when I went, so I lost about 2k exp due to capped level...:( I knew I should have gotten it done earlier...
Anyways, great area for exp parties >50. Since it is lvl capped, a party of +/-5 can get decent exp and chain well... Too bad more ppl don't do that now that they fixed the EXP chains...
Yup... dang went to the wrong ingot...

You're thinking of Shakudo Ingots, not Paktong Ingots.
Smithing lvl Cap is 20
well...killed everything that is EP to 75(gobs, trashman) and 1 key / 50 kills or so ><
I think this is a level 20 synth
got bored yesterday so i started to raise my smithing and well at lv 10 i started to make a couple of these and well on my asura they go for 4-7k each and well it only costs 1k to meke them so hopefully i can get a small profit off of these ^^

It caps at 20, same as iron ingots, no HQ and is part of gobbie5
oh and BTW if you are on Siren, i will buy your kopparnickel for more than the AH, (and you can avoid the tax ^^)

Paktong Ingots cap at 20, same as iron ingots, oh and btw, if you are on siren, i will buy your Kopparnickel for more than the AH (and you wont have to worry about the fee ^^)

level 18 smithing w/o imagery - got 0.1 skill up
Well, has anyone found what you can use these for, other than gobbie bag quests? Most of the items for the other gobbiebags i've seen, are usable in other synths too. So is this item is useless, other than to get more space?
I got my smithing skill from 16-17 doing a few of these. I don't recall getting the recipe before 16, though.

It appears that each of the 4 new items for GB5 (Paktong Ingot, Rhodenite, Bugard Leather, and Moblinweave) are all very close to level 20 synths.
So, this is only for use in the Gobbiebag V?
I have a hard time believing that it is not included in other recipes. Stacks of these on Phoenix Server are going for 70-80k.

Out of 3 tries, at lvl 40 smithing, I had one Failed Synthesis.

I just did this as a lvl 40 smither and got the "HQ" item. ( you can tell by the way the finished product comes out) and it was still the Paktong Ingot. So confirmed NO HQ synthises.

Just made this at 22 smithing with no image support or skill up, hope this helps^^
I was able to make these @ 39 with no skill-ups or failures.

So there are at least 5 gobbiebag quests now.
As for the smithing 0 bit.... 0 means UNKNOWN LEVEL therefore no one knows the cap or those that do have not posted it yet.
