Hey just a though....for the THF Maat fight i heard they have to steal an item from maat....well if this give +1 steal u think it would have the THFs steal better...idk just bored during this 16 hour maitnence

JEJ can spawn anywhere in the area of I-8 and I-9 in west ron. There is a PH. on widescan you will see: fodder, mesmerizer, grappler, hare, hare, hare(JEJ PH), worm, funguar, beetle, beetle, sheep, sheep, sheep, sheep. I'm currently 1/4 on the charm, so I cant really say that this is extremely rare, or not. Everyone in my LS said id never get the drop. I was a 32 thf/rng so obviously you dont need to be extremely low lvls to get it. I only hunt it when I happen to be in Sandy and am bored. currently 1.2M on quetz.

Thanks to recent inflation, prices are crazy for dumb things, but me and a friend who has never seen an NM go out to hunt this so he'll know what they are.. he gets the drop and makes more money then Ill ever see >.< Such, crap!

Last night I was running through ronfaure as a bard and someone asked me for some buffs. JEJ spawned and he said "Omg its incredibly tough, please help me!" Sooo obviously he was kind of new. I said lets go fight it, doing this just for fun considering drop rate is so low didnt think id get it the drop but, bam!! We got drop, and I got it obviously :P Fun fun, putting it on AH takes more money then id like to give up so, waiting for it to bought out of my bazaar.

Ihave taken bloody ages to kill these rabbits and still I have found not ONE Rabbit Charm on them. Is there no easier way??????

Are you just killing "Forest Hare"s? because they don't drop the Rabbit Charm.
You need to find Jaggedy-Eared Jack and kill him, but the drop rate is extremely rare.
The Forest Hare's are just a place holder for the NM (notorious monster) "Jaggedy-Eared Jack" - if you wait around long enough and kill them he will probably spawn^^ I've waited around 1 hour to 1 hour 30 minutes to see him spawn, but the spawn timer can probably be longer than that.
You need to find Jaggedy-Eared Jack and kill him, but the drop rate is extremely rare.

A lvl 10 thf wont beat a lvl 10 NM either...
depends, if he is galka or elvaan he might be able to kill it. he'd have to use perfect dodge, of course.

Well im lvl 12 now so i thnk i stand a greater chance! now i dont have to rest every time cos last time i would fom pts and try but it nvr has worked yet so im tryin solo! Hope i do well!
Just got mine last night. 1 for 29 on drops. Worst part was while camping a 19THF/WAR shows up 1 hour after i had just killed him. And she kept beating me to the rabbits, but by luck as i'm running past here i see he'd popped, she musta missed him. Claimed him got the drop. Thought it was just another rabbit hide at first. I may come back after him sometime, only because i forgot to take a screen shot. But i'm happy i no longer "have" to get him. After about 15 kills it became personal.

i was out with my party expin in boyada yesterday, when my friend decideds to give me 900k to get this charm...went to jeuno and none for sale. so same friend sells me his rabbit charm for 900,001 gil @@.

I was walkin through west ronfaure omw to go lvl my pally. I was around where jej spawns and everyone was doing the Boys day event so no 1 was there. I walked around and there he was, the wabbit with the longest name ever. I was thinking can a lvl 12pld/war kill jej? o well ill try. so i started attacking him and then theres like 20 ppl runnin tword me with wooden katana watching me. so i killed it and no drop. (also an ork aggroed me while i was fightin) 0/1

P.S. Many ppl say darksday this darksday that. I can safely say this NM is best to be killed on Darksday! also carry around a 4 leaf bud thing and a happy egg. i dont beleive those help at all but does it rly hurt?

guys his pop time has nothing at all to do with weather, his pop time is 2.5-3.5 hours, but killing rabbits while waitin makes it go faster

his pop timer is exactly 90 mins I have hunted jack religously for awhile now and just got drop its 90 mins and ya gotta kill all bunnies in area
I was chocoboing back to Sandy for Dunes when I took a quick look for this little guy (Jaggedy-eared Rabbit). When suddenly, I saw him. Jumpped off chocobo and claimed it immidiatley. Level 20 WHM, no problem killing him. And I got the drop ^^. I dont remember much of the details because of how excited I was and how I was running around the house like a mad man :). But he was closer to the eastern mountain, on that little beek part of the mountain. Um, I think it was night as well. So check it, Rabbit Charm, aquired! Yay me! :P

I was lvling my Rdm when I saw this I killed it no Drop. Then I started hunting it but still no drop. if anyone is selling it on Cerberus ill buy same for leaping boots.

650 k on Bismarck, in case if anyone is looking for the price. Hunted for round 2 hours, found nothing. Have not hunted on light day or dark day, but I have hunted while there was fog. I read somewhere that killing rabbits will help, but i doubt it. I did it anyways, no spawn within the two squares.

I hear Lucky Egg gives TH when it is just in inventory but i believe that is just a rumor so dont waste your time getting one unless you plan to actully use it
i have fought him 9 times now and only spawned on foggy days usually ice day and light/dark days.
Whoever said Jack spawns in fog is pure genious. Rate up to you once I find your post. ^^

Actually, if you look at the picture for JEJ, you'll notice its not claimed in fog. I don't think it really pops during fog, maybe just since the weather in West Ronfaure constantly changes to fog a lot. I think it pops like any NM, lottery kills and waiting however I did wait like 2 hrs and it didnt spawn.

That was about a year ago. Gils came and went, and i never bother to buy it nor hunt for it. It wasn't a dream anymore and in time i forgotten about it. Just another item for . I'm currently saving for my scorpion harness and came across a theif wearing one. And my head just burst saying why did i never get one? Because i don't really need it? Because its expensive? Yes and Yes. But it was still something i wanted so i bought it ^-^

How much additional help does this item actually provide a THF in stealing? Is it worth the effort / gil to get?
FYI: Presently, I'm using the Feather Collar +1 for the improved Ranged Accuracy.

I heard that most Thiefs use this end game for Dynamis and what not. Im not sure if it would be helpful early game.
Actually it would be more helpful early-game that later on...the more you lvl thf, the better you can steal...
This is an example (just a theory, not the actual way it works, pls dont quote me on this ^^;):
lets say when ur lvl 1 THF ur steal is at lvl 1 and for every lvl you obtain steal goes up a lvl. Therefore when you hit lvl 50 THF ur steal will be lvl 50...
when ur lvl 10 fighting IT's and vt's i'd say its better to have steal = 11 than to = 10...
when ur lvl 75 lets say ur steal = 75 (You can steal teh winz!!1!) its already lvl 75 you dont really need 76, unless ur a fanatic that likes wearing armor that does no good at high lvls b/c you think it makes you look cool (unless its the cassie earring lol)
Then again some say the more you steal the better you steal...i dont know what to believe.

While leveling my 11 Nin/War for the Utsusemi, I spotted Jack. I ran over, voked him and got the drop. Out of the four times ive killed him, ive gotten it twice. Ive noticed that he usually appears when there is fog. There was fog everytime ive seen him. Also you do not need TH or thf for the drop. It seems that it has a higher drop rate if killed by lower levels.
I've killed jaggedy 11 times with no drop as my main character (51rng/25thf). I recently started up a PS2 accound and began to level a thf while i waited around for parties. I was lv 10 THF with no subjob and saw jaggedy at about 3/4 hp with a dead guy next to him. So i decided to go for it. I'm sure glad i brought a meat mithkabob, pamam au lait, and icarus wing with me, it made the fight very easy. I got the drop too!!!!
It was Lightningsday Waxing Crescent (21%) at around 18:00-20:00
I recieved 72exp for the fight.
My theory:
I think that in order to have a decent drop rate, you have to have one or more of the following:
1. No subjob
2. Recieve Exp from the fight
3. Possibly even be THF main, even without having TH
4. Be in the area for under a certain amount of time. (I know SE released a statement about time in a zone affecting mining drop rates, possibly it is true for drops as well)
I hope this helps clear up a bit of confusion. This is such an elusive drop it's hard to say how to get it.
