Well, sry to be the first to boost but I got the feather today and I'm wondering if there is more then one kind of feather to collect?
It may come useful to me in the future cus im sure it's for summoner.
I had fun for the time being#1 Looking all over for the luminant from J-9 to L-9 and killing hunter antlion at the same time.
#2 waiting around for the black smoke to clear so I can get a clear run to and up the rock! Good time with flee helps!
#3 Trail and error, I once had the luminant on hand and fell off the trail, really killing my time just to wait around again for the random re-pop of the luminant. After I had the climb memorized it's pretty easy except for the black smoke that sometime get in the way. I almost thought I might not make it on time.
Hmmm, if there's is really a blaze feather, I wouldn't mind tring to get it,lol.

There definitly a hierarchy of which feather takes how much time.
The stone fades 4 times before it disapears.
0 fades = you get a regain feather (hp/mp/tp)
1 fade = you get a rebirth feather (reraise3)
2 fades = you get revive feather (reraise1)
3 fades = you get fire feather (enfire)
4 fades = you get blaze feather (blaze spikes)
5 fades = mimeo stone disapears and you dont get anything
I tested this, because i got regain feather before anything else, without any fades.
2nd time i got up, with no fades, and it said "You cannot obtain another regain feather." so i waited, and eventually it said "the mimeo stone starts to fade away", and i clicked the cradle again, and i got rebirth feather.
i did this again, and after "you cannot obtain another rebirth feather" i got revive feather
So yes, you can hold all 5 feathers at the same time, after you use a feather (only tested with regain so far) you have to wait 2 hours before using another medicine.
There are 6 pops of luminent, scattered around the mountain. The 1st time that I did it, i went down again, and luminent was up right away. The other times it has taken a long time for it to repop. I suspect either its a random repop time, or that it pops at a certain time during the day, i tested 0:00, but it wasn't up.

The stone gives you one of those messages every minute. After five minutes, the stone grows useless.
There is no way that you can climb the mountain in one minute unless you are using some third party tool.

Judging by the posts, It appears that when you take the "Mimeo Stone" that you get from the Luminent to the top of the Tor (Cradle of Rebirth). You may receive one of the following items. There is no solid evidence to suggest that the reward is time based. My theory at the time of posting is that you receive a random feather after completing (needs testing).
Blaze Feather -Blaze Spikes
Fire Feather -Enfire
Revive feather -Reraise
Rebirth Feather -Reraise III
Regain Feather -HP/MP/TP
Blaze Feather -Blaze Spikes

Just theorizing here, I've done no tests... this feather is clearly to do with Phoenix. Cradle of Rebirth + Fire Feather... it's a reasonable assumption. In earlier FF games, Phoenix has always had to do with resurrection and, when there's elemental damage, fire.
So I'm curious if the effect the item gives you is actually plain En-Fire, or if it gives you a "Fire Feather" effect which gives your attacks add effect: fire damage. If it's the latter, I'd suspect you're also under the effect of some sort of Reraise while it's active.
Just a thought. Don't go and use your Fire Feather, then make faces at an IT and expect it to save you.

Think about it. same area, Tiamat might be 'the wyrm of fire' but he is like a bomb that doesnt explode. Ex. Weak to fire but based on fire. i know this because my brother's BLM friend was fighting Tiamat a little while ago, and said that Firaga III stood out above all spells on him, doing massive amounts of damage, also triggering a lot of hate.

wouldnt mind killing three birds with one stone while running to top of the mountain, doing CoP windy frok mission alongside bearclaw pinnacle enm key item alongside mimeo stone run...the mimeo stone run rewards you with this item...but why do i want to clog up my inventory with a rare/ex item? is their a great use of the enfire effect in a certain battle? is there a quest this is used in? possibly part of Phoenix avatar that isnt implemented yet? very little info on this thing...
Is this different than a Blaze Feather? Someone posted under that item that they received a Blaze Feather from making the run up the mountain with a Mimeo Stone. When I did the run, I got a Fire Feather...
You get this if you target the ??? in Attowha Chasm to obtain a "Mimeo Stone" and then take it to the top of the Tor (the mountain) and trade it to the Cradle of Rebirth, BEFORE the Stone "wears out" (approximately 5-10 minutes). Note: this is DIFFERENCE from the Mimeo JEWEL you get from the NM Antlion for the Chains of Promathia misson.
Using this Feather upon yourself results in an En-fire effect, but I am pretty sure it will have different uses somewhere else in the game. It is Rare/Ex.
