I desynthed 3 of these (that I bought for 1k each) and got 4 bronze ingots. I'm not really sure if it was worth it, but I figured I'd give a heads up cause I didn't see any mention of this desynth.
It's funny. I was lvling up my new paladin so I decided to start with this sword, and I actually did notice a small difference between this and the onion sword. It really is better and quicker to level with.
Yes, it is a "wax sword", but I believe it better named a "waxed sword". In what way would a sword made from candle droppings be any good in combat? On a hot day in the dunes it would fold over on itself. It would be more fit for Joan of Arc's outstretched arms, in Louis Tussaud's Wax Museum. So, what this actually consists of is a common bronze sword, that has been rubbed with beeswax, to make it a little swifter in the slice. The same thing is done with skis, surfboards, sled runners and toboggans. And it would be better called the "waxed sword". I rest my case.
