- Players will have 15 minutes to complete the following goals. For success in this expedition and the unlocking of Associate Researcher - Expedition #5, the first goal must be completed.
- Open ten treasure chests.
- Prowess Reward: Treasure Hunter +1
- Open twenty treasure chests.
- Prowess Reward: Treasure Hunter +???
- Open all treasure chests.
- Prowess Reward: Treasure Hunter +???
- There are up to 25 Capricious Coffers and 3 Modest Coffers in the zone.
- Examining and attempting to guess the combination will give the player a clue as to the correct combination. Capricious Coffers offer three to four guesses in total before failing, while Modest Coffers offer three guesses in total.
- If the player fails to guess the combination, the coffer will be replaced by a mimic; the Capricious being replaced by a Sombre Mimic and the Modest being replaced by a Lacquered Mimic. Killing a mimic will still count towards the overall numbers for goals.
- However, killing a mimic will not reward players with Research Marks.
- At the end of the Expedition, the total accumulated number of Research Marks will be divided up amongst each party member.
