She is having trouble falling to sleep at night and wants you to fetch her some Mary's Milk to help her sleep. This drops from a named sheep called Stray Mary who spawns in the Konschtat Highlands. I've done 10 quests in San D'oria (I'm from Bastok) and I can't get this quest.. anyone have any ideas?

I'm from Windurst, and I got this quest after having completed 19 unique San d'Oria quests + 3 or so repeats. Since I had not been checking for this quest, I'm not sure exactly how much you need. You may be able to get it with less fame.

Sure, quests are meant to be done yourself, but let's face it...if I can turn in the milk for 5k and minimal fame which I can obtain just as easily by turning in bat wings, or selling the Milk on the AH for 10k, which would I do? I'd take the 10k, thank you very much. So yes. This quest sucks.

You can get the quest at any time, thats the reccomended level to beat the queest, meaning that would be a good lvl to be able to beat the monster. try to kill Mary at lvl 7, then go try at lvl 20, see how much easyer it is? and look, you actually survive

Cause if it is, haha, i already have 5 mary's milk, so let me see thats, 5 by 5000=25 k, or if its not, atleast i would be able to sell it for alot, the price for it in jueno is 5k or 6k, thats in siren server, not sure about the others, so anyway its quite a good bargain!

Depends on server. I got mine in San D;oria for less than 5k. That's the only reason I did the quest in the first place. I'm not high enough lvl to go kill Mary yet, but I plan to eventually.

You need to kill the sheep arround the specified area for Mary to spawn. The "normal" sheep are "placeholders". Keep the area clean of "normal" sheep and Mary is much more likely to spawn.

This goes for almost every NM, they all have placeholders that you have to kill to increase chance of spawning.

Mary is a NM so that means she will just pop up randomly
like the battering rams in la thienne
just camp in the areas mentioned above (windmills)
you will eventually see her but its going to be a wait or a luck thing

any time at day it would be more likely to see this sheep? I have looked and looked and looked but no sight of a stray mary yet...

I was able to spot Stray Mary once, and that was when I was still lvl 10 in the Highlands. Of course, at the time there was no way I could fight her then.
However, since then I have not spotted her at all. Any ideas how often she spawns, or how to make her spawn?

Me too, I saw her by the windmills towards the mid-left side of the map. I can't really remember, but I remember her being around windmills.

You, sir, are a moron. Try actually doing some of the quests instead of wanting to buy everthing at the auction house. You are probably the same kind of person who sits in a group and goes AFK all the time to leech exp.

Umm.. buying armor and buying items to finish a quest are two entirely different things. The "hardass", as you called him, has a point. Why bother playing the game if you're just going to take the easy way out and finish quests without trying to fight for the items? And where in the original guy's post did he ask a question? He just said this quest sucks because he couldn't buy the milk. Stupid anonymous posters trying to talk crap! =x

So says the Anonymous Poster. But really, it's just a matter of profiteers. You kill Stray Mary, you get the milk, you can do the quest, or you can sell the milk on the AH and get twice as much. Since they've already done the work (ie: Gettting the milk), they sell it on the AH for more then the quest as a handling fee of sorts. Same thing as selling Crawler Calcalus for 300 (which happens some times), the "price" is only 200, but the extra 100 is for them having done all the work. You want to make a profit on the quests? Do the work for it!
People have asked many of times if this quest is repeatable i dont know my self i wish some one say i will be doin the quest to find it out post back soon if some one has not yet said if it is or not repeatable

Mary's Milk is what kind of item in the Auction House? Is it alchemy material? Is it cooking ingredients? I can't find it. I saw it once but now I am going nutz looking for it.

You will Find Mary's Milk. 2k Higher then the reward, but if yer looking to clear those Missions, you know the Sandy Price ;)
