What do u have to have equiped while trading candy if anything. Does anyone know what u need to wear to get what and an easy way to obtain the items

For the next special events, I wouldn't mind getting some ex/rare gear for different slots. A funky necklace, wierd booties, snazzy pants? Or did I just miss an event where those slots were represented? I do have my dream robe from christmas and 2 of the 3 range eggs (accidentally threw the third one at a low level mob.... /cry). By the way, what was given away during the event with the lv. 1 katana? All I got were galka cookies and lame candy drops.

The Pitchfork and Pitchfork +1 are a pain if you dont know the correct combinations. I dont know all the combonations but here is what I have so far.. and how you do it. if you want to update or add in go for it.
I am pretty sure the Costume Combination either changes for each city or for what ever city your character happens to be from..
If you and your partner are Sandorian and in Sandy then this combonation should work. Wolf/Ghoul (Ghoul is the guy looking costume) the Trick NPC that will give you this costume is The Trick Phantom (Ghoul) and Trick Skeleton (Wolf) run to each of the Bomb Decorations (2 in the fountain area, 1 in the area by Gertrude, one in the area to Port as you enter) one of them will give you the Pitchfork. To get the Pitchfork +1 you need to go to a different city and trade a sweet to the Trick Spirit until it turns you to a gob.. once you and your partner have become Gob's then visit the decorations in the city to get the +1
Bastok Residents starting in Bastok...
Costume Combination Ghost / Wolf Trick NPC's to get costumes from.. are the Trick Ghost and the Trick Spector, Visit the Bomb Decoratins (there are 4 total) until you get the Pitchfork.. Next go to Sandy (I say that because I know the Trick NPC in Sandy required to finish this) Trade sweet to the Trick Bones to become Gob and visit Decorations there until you have the Pitchfork +1..
I do not know the costumes or NPC's needed in Windy yet.. I will update as I go along.

One way I found, searching through this site to get the items is as follows:
If you go to a shop vender(That's dressed up), trade a bunch of cookies until you get an item. Then go to another vendor trade a different type of cookies to them and they will give you an item. Now, the trick is, if you were given a Trick Staff, you have a chance to get Treat Staff, if you have it equipped. Same thing with Pumpkin head to horror head. Also once you get the others they have a greater chance of getting you the +1 version of the item. Now I believe you can only get 1 item per food per hour, from my experience anyway. I only used cookies because they stack to 99.
One thing to remember when trying for the +1 Pitchfork, you need the pitchfork equipped to change into a goblin. and before you head under the decorations unequip the pitchfork. This is how it worked for me took like 4 trys.

If u zone out the area that is holding the special event then u have to do the exorcism quest again. I did the first part which is to follow the first ghost twice. The second time i got 6 pallions, i have butterfly wings on my back hehe. And btw, can anyone tell me what kind of food and trick NPC should i talk to get treat staff II?

This is how i got the Pitchfork+1:
First i went to sandoria with my brother. We are both sandorian. I turned into a shade by trading a ginger cookie to the Trick Phantom. He turned into a hound by trading one to Antonian north of the fountain on the parade grounds. We then ran to the bomb decoration near the blacsmith guild and received a NQ pitchfork. A few days later we went to bastok and both traded Goblin Chocolete (I beleive any sweet will do) were turned into goblins and then ran to the bomb decoration near the zone to Port Bastok (G-4).

I've spent a little while doing this, so far ive got
*Trick Staff
*Pitchfork
*Witch Hat
*Coven Hat
First off to get the pitchfork all you have to do is approach a bomb decoration with a friend at the same time in the same party. You need the combination of Hound(Dog) and Ghost (Bogy) costume. If it does nothing you will need to go to a different decoration til u get the pitchfork.
I got the the two hats from doing the Bastok quest from Brian at the fountain in Bastok Markets. All you have to do there is trade a sweet to a trick npc to receive a costume then go and follow "BEHIND" Selma (she wonders around the houses near the Goldsmithing guild) until she tells you y she is haunting Bastok. She can not see u or u will have to trade a different sweet to another npc in order to get another costume. She will talk to you about casting spells, then when you have completed it she will tell u that she wants to be left alone. Go back to Brian to get the Witch Hat.
Next you will have to wait a day before you can do the next ghost. Go back and he tells you to do the same for Pretty Ghost (he wonders from AH in markets to the port entrance) he is more difficult, after you have completed him he will tell you to go and tell the exorcist that he is ready to leave. Go back to Brian and you will get the Coven Hat. After you have the coven hat you will be able to go to Port Bastok and go to the selling moogles by the Port exit to South Gustaberg they sell
*Jack o Lantern
* 3 furnishings lanterns from each city

I started the quest in Sandy with Gertrude and have some fun new equipment from trading with the different "Treats", but I am not clear if this quest must be done with a partner? I haven't gotten the info I need from the first witch and I am wondering if "time ran out" because my partner logged and went to bed. Any thoughts? I know that one of my ls friends got the witch hat tonight and I would like to go for it tomorrow with or without a partner!

The Galka is a witch.
Because, you know, not only are Galka extremely good at magic, but they're all female, too. I'm guessing he's blind and noone ever told him he wasn't a female Taru.

In Sandy you get a pitchfork NQ if a pt of 2 ppl dressed as a shade (from the Trick Phantom) and a hound (from Antonian near the fountain) I'm still trying to figure out how to get Pitchfork+1 any suggestion?

From what I understand from reading other posts, on similiar topics, if you have gotten close to the bombs previously during this event, then IT BLEW UP, now saying this, don't guarantee that will happen, being this is my first Halloween festival also, but just incase you still want to know what they do...here is a rough idea ^.^
this Dark Lillies thing is an improvement over "Kupo Kupo!"...but it's still a kiddy thing.... based on the story line it sounds a minute amount like it might be a Besieged style event in the main towns.... hunt down the witches, fight em till you win, get rewards, rinse, repeat. if that's the case, it might be fun...but if it's just some stupid thing where you talk to an NPC and try to determine if they're a witch or not....then thanks but no thanks, i'll just be tryin for the items again this year..... just my thoughts on it...so please dont flame it...
