For those of you who say all you need is fame to get this quest you dead wrong. If that were so then my level 5 sandorian fame would unlock this quest. It doesn't. there is something else required to unlock it. I don't know what yet but it's clear more is required. It's probly something simple that most poeple have already done. I'll post again if I figure it out.

I was not able to get this quest until I had Rank 3 fame. So if your Rank 2 and he's not giving you the quest, by Rank 3 you should have it.

i got the quest then i went to jeuno to get his beastmen blood and i go back with my lvl 16blm just to make sure that i can get it and all he says is bring me the vial...with haste. i have tried trading it to him like a million times.. why wont the give up and take it?(i have rank3

omg, i got this and am sooo happy, traded like 12 stacks of rabbit hides to the fame guy in sandy. is it just me, or is everything out of wack in hades? im seeing everyone happy about things selling for 120-150k and im freaking out because scroll of drain is going for anywhere from 250k-400k on hades....

This is ridiculously easy. You can have rank 2 from Sandy or 3+ from the other two nations and get this. There is no pre-quest. I'm not quite sure what level fame you need, because I was doing this on my father's retired character. Anyway, he had only three Sandy quests completed, and that wasn't enough. I bought around seven, 12-stack Rabbit Hides (each for around 1.5-2k) and traded them (in threes) to Parvipon at (E-8). You get 120 gil back for every three Rabbit Hides that you trade to him. You can use that gil earned to buy more Rabbit Hides, if needed. Head to Bostaunieux Oubliette (reached from Chateau d'Oraguille). Go down the hall (ignore the left turn) and take the first right. Here, you see a hooded figure (Novalmauge) walking (very slowly) up and down the corridor. If you don't have high enough fame, he'll say something along the lines of "Those who do not have business here should leave" (something like that). If you do have enough fame, he'll ask you to help him. He needs a Vial of Beastmen blood. This can be obtained from leeches, or be boughten from the AH (under "Other" or "Beast-made", I can't remember). Don't get this mixed up with Beast Blood (under "Alchemy"). Trade it to Novalmauge and he'll he say some other stupid crap and reward you with a Scroll of Drain.

For the sandy fame just kill forest hares outside of sandy in west ron and get stacks of them and trade to the NPC by the west ron gate. Hes by the grocery store hes in a corner just talk to everyone around there he will ask for rabbit hides and will trade you money for 3 of them. You get money and you get your fame up this is a repeatable quest its very easy. I did that for awhile then i did the quest for shaman garlic then i had rank 6 in sandy if that helps.

i got this quest only after completeing the "warding vampires" quest it may b a pre req to get this quest done 1st or maby it just put me over the fame req i cant b absolutly sure but u should try it
Is the requirement to get in simply rank 2 or do I need to be on mission 2-3?

Okay I just did this quest last night. I have to let you know for people not from San doria like myself you have to have lvl 3 fame as far as I know you may correct me if I am wrong. This is on top of the fact that you have to have at least 2-3 mission done . The reason for the mission needing to be at least started is for you have to have access to the cathedrail<-- misspell.

I am currently rank 2, on mission 2-3. I have done the bat wing quest at least 30 times. When i go to talk to Novalmauge, he just tells me to go away. What am i doing wrong?

I've heard that trading Moss, corn, etc is good to raise your fame in jeuno and bastok, but lowers yout teshindo fame...

You still don't have enough Sandy fame, that's all. Keep trying. And I've found that a great way to build fame in Bastok and Sand at the same time, is to trade the moss to the shepherd in Selbina. Way cheaper, and the fame builds quickly if you take about 10-20 stacks with you.
Also, make sure to find the fame meter person in the pub of south sandy. check his response often to see if you are actually gaining fame - you are probaly building a lot slower than you realize.

10-20 stacks of 12 moss? or just 10-20 individual mosses?
10-20 Stacks. If sandy is first in conquest, you can buy the millioncorn from the grocery store and save yourself alot of money. But you'll need more than 10-20 stacks to get the fame from corn instead of moss.

This is possibly one of the easiest quests that exist. The only hard thing about it is ranking up to 2-3, which allows you access into Chateau d'Oraguille. I have not completed this quest yet, for I have not gotten to rank 2-3, but it will take a short amount of time.
is this quest repeatable, i went back to get drain again to send to my other character and i cant get the quest, im rank 5 with hero status almost everywhere><

This is the best quest ive done, Get the fame, Get the beastman Blood for about 8K then sell the scroll of Drain in Jeuno for 150k+ Massive profit!!!!!!!

didn't see anything about this, i've already got the quest flagged and even have beastmen blood, when i go to trade i the blood and nothing happens, but yet when i talk to him he just says the same thing, bring him a vial of blood...am i just doing something wrong?

Same here, I kept doing quests, and checking in periodically till he gave me the quest. Finally, he gave it, I try to trade the vial of beastmens blood and he just keeps walking, like I'm invisible. I talk to him, he just asks for the blood?
