i am lvl21war/9monk w/ 30+sandorian quests done.. My fame stats that i have done very well for country.. (High Fame)I got the cut scene w/ the Queen lady and still he wont give me the quest.. Says he's busy... go away?? any 1 know why he wont give me quest?

I have gotten this quest with over 30 completed. It's easy to purchase the Derfland Humus from the auction house under Misc for about 4,000 gil. If you think about it, the map would cost you about 3,000 if you were to purchase it from a NPC. It's worth the fame.

You're extremely lucky-- Derfland Humus is at least 7000-8000gil+ in all 4 cities on my server. Ugh.

Derfland Humus is only about 2900gil on Siren and the Sandorian AH at the current time. Well worth it at that price :)

All I know is that I am Rank 3.0 (just killed the dragon) have 45-48 completed quests in San d'Oria and the fame guy says "Buto! That's a name I hear a lot!" something to that effect.
I also did the Tiger fang quest many many times. about 12 times I would say.
Hope this helps. I haven't finished this quest yet, but will do so eventually. Probably just buy it from the AH which currently has the Humus priced at 4k.

To receive this quest you must have a certain amount of fame. Check your fame level in a tavern and the remark from the NPC should be the following or better:
[Name]! You have become well known in these parts!

I don't think its related to fame.
I have 24 completed quests at San D'Oria, which makes me famous (which is required for some quests, mainly summoner).
And I can't still get it at lvl 14 rank 2.99

Is there a Race requirement as well? Perhaps you have to be Elvaan. I cannot get this quest. Got the cutscene examined everything I could and all Chalvatot says to me is, "I'm busy. If you don't mind. I'd appreciate a bit of peace and quiet!"

Looking at the description for the Derfland Humus, this says you get it from the Crawlers Nest. On this site, the Crawlers Nest is for lvl 40-50. How can this be a quest for levels 1-70, when a critical part of it is from a 40-50 lvl area??

I couldn't get it either. I'm rank 2.5+, lv12. When I got to the garden, I talked to Chalvatot first, and got a cutscene where the princess comes out and introduces herself. After that, I looked at the memorial and talked to Chalvatot again, but couldn't get the mission. Maybe you HAVE to look at the memorial first.

Last night I looked at the memorial and then spoke with Chalvetot. I got a message about not particularly liking foreigners. I'm guessing that there are some requirements (possibly fame) involved with this quest.

im a lvl 12 monk and the guards wont even let me enter the castle, any ideas why or how?

When I was realm rank 1, the guards would not let me in. After getting realm rank 2 I got in. Do some missions.

Well I was not able to get this quest at level 10. Must be a Higher level quest.

I don't he gives the quest to people who are not sandorian
I am a level 18 warrior / 1 monk that if rank 2 on mission 2. I have completed almost all of the quests associated with San d'Oria. My fame is something along the lines of "Daemian, now that's a name I hear a lot." I am also a San d'Orian citizen. I still can not get the quest though.
