I heard that the marion glace may be a +% increase not a static number...would probably need more testing to find that out.

also, I think you mean hobgoblin chocolate not goblin chocolate (NQ) because gob chocolate only lasts 3 minutes. hobgoblin chocolate (the HQ which I think you have your info for) is the one that lasts 5 and has historically had the +5mp regen you had in the first post.

On the Pea Soup.

I didn't check it for any HP or MP regeneration rates.

I think the marron glace is indeed a percent increase, not a static number. I ate one and got +60, not +74 mp. I'm a 42 rdm.

Edit: my base mp with standard mp gear is 423. At the time I consumed my Glace, I was wearing my 2 Electrum rings bringing my total to 463. When I consumed it, I had a total of 523, a difference of 60. The percent increase appears to be 13% approx. (463 * 1.13 = 523). Not bad.

When I removed my electrum rings, my mp total was 477 mp, a difference of 54 mp. Again, 13%. (423 * 1.13 = 477)

Hobgoblin Chocolate no longer gives mp regen while healing. I rest with no food and got 39mp on the first tick. Then I ate a Hobgoblin Chocolate and...still 39mp on the first tick. Hobgoblin Chocolate is the HQ of goblin chocolate, which this guide lists as mpregen+5, so I'm a little bit suspicious of that. I will test regular Goblin Chocolate tonight though.

If I knew I'd tell. I can't see any stats changing when using it, and it isn't mpregen anymore.

I guess it just gives a placebo effect now... or it's just empty calories.

Snoll Gelato

74 RDM
+1 mp while resting
+75mp

The 75mp seems to be a static number, not a %. I equipped all my mp+ equip to start out with, and received 75mp. I then took off my mp+ equip and equipped various pieces in various combos. All pieces added only the equip value to my max mp. If this were a %, then 2 astrals should have added more than 50mp.

Marron Glace

(64RDM) - +74MP, +1MP Regen while sitting [previously reported]
(33WHM) - +44MP, +1MP Regen while sitting
(20WHM) - +31MP, +1MP Regen while sitting

Just read a previous poster's comment about Marron Glace reporting that it increases MP by 13%. This is true. Marron Glace increases your MP by 13% (decimal rounded down) and gives you +1MP Regen while sitting.

(64RDM) - 572MP increased to 646MP
(33WHM) - 345MP increased to 389MP
(20WHM) - 239MP increased to 270MP

I tried black curry on my 72 PLD.

+4 DEX +6 VIT +something INT and a nice bump in def %.

Unfortunately I didn't write down any of the stats other than dex and vit, and I died right after I thought to myself that I should do that. >.<

I read that curry has a different effect on different races? Has anyone confirmed that?

edit-

Just tried seafood stew... only of the few things you can actually get on carbuncle /fume

+20 hp +1 dex +5 vit +some% def

my base def with no gear on is 171, seafood stew made it 216. I suck horribly at math stuff, so i'll leave it to someone else to figure out the %increase if they like.

I liked the black curry more, anyone on this thread on Carbuncle and willing to make some for me? ^^

Something with ranged attack increase. Please something. Anything. I think I've tried every food thats in my cooking range or below 10k at the AH. Nothing adds more than 2 extra damage per shot for my ranger. Any info would help.

Looking for something to give +int,+str, and +attack for a drk friend of mine. Can't use chiefs due to the new -2 int, anything with +int usually has -str, and no attack bonus. Even with as much +int as the drk can get when using casting macros, there's still resists, so this is a definite 'ouch.'

If anyone has any info on this new candied meat pie (as the drk put it) then please, step forward =)

Kuraiou, what place is Windy on your server? I just ran down and checked Timbre Timbers and couldn't buy any Shallops Tropicale, Windy is only in second on Fenrir though so maybe its like coronettes in Bastok.

As well a bit of info to add is Nebimonite Bake is +2 vit with ~25% def capping at 65 or so I think, half hour duration. 59 PLD def 312 before food 380 after, removing RK chain dropped it 46. Removing everything and putting on just the RK Chain lifted it 54. RK chain Def is 43.

Last night's observations:

PLD38/WAR19, Boiled Crab, VIT+2, DEF +23.4% (+51)

PLD38/WAR19, Steamed Crab, VIT+3, DEF +28% (+61)

THF38/NIN19, Roast Pipira, DEX+3, MND-1, ATT +12 (8.1%)

THF38/NIN19, Broiled Pipira, DEX+4, MND-1, ATT +13 (8.8%)

NOTE: The Broiled Pipira only lasts 1 hour (stackable now), contrary to an earlier poster's information.

PLD/WAR 66 Hume

Base Attack with Sword is 276
Used a Mithkabob -> Attack 339
STR+5
AGI+1
INT-2

Its a total of +63 Attack. I suck at math too, so it would be nice, when someone else can figure out the % ^^

Ok, from what has been posted and I've seen elsewhere here are some general observations: all +attack % and +defense % foods now have a fixed % increase, and a hard number cap to that (not based on level and job as se said). In general higher level recipies have a higher cap, and hq results have a higher cap (mithkabobs and chiefkabobs now have the exact same stats, only difference is duration and chiefkabobs have a higher cap). Also, mithkabobs seem to have a 60 attack increase cap (+2 or 3 due to str increase).

Hey everybody,

I tried out a few foods recently, to see the new effects on me. The AH was sold out of a bunch of stuff, so that's a good sign.

Here's my test parameters. Level 60 Elvaan Samurai/Warrior using Ochiudo's Kote (with the exception of when I tested my Tonosama riceballs)

Without food

HP 1252, Str 71, Dex 65, Vit 60, Agi 50, Int 40, Mnd 54, Chr 51, Attack 295, Defense 220

Meat Mithkabob

HP 1252, Str 76, Dex 66, Vit 60, Agi 51, Int 38, Mnd 54, Chr 51, Attack 358, Defense 220

Sole Sushi (was the only sushi available)

HP 1272, Str 76, Dex 71, Vit 60, Agi 50, Int 40, Mnd 54, Chr 51, Attack 298, Defense 220

Navarin

HP 1289, Str 74, Dex 65, Vit 61, Agi 51, Int 39, Mnd 54, Chr 51, Attack 327, Defense 220

Yellow Curry

HP 1272, Str 76, Dex 65, Vit 60, Agi 52, Int 36, Mnd 54, Chr 51, Attack 359, Defense 220

Tonosama Riceball (with Myochin Kote)

HP 1282, Str 71, Dex 72, Vit 63, Agi 50, Int 40, Mnd 54, Chr 54, Attack 325, Defense 258

So there's my experimentation so far. I'm a SAM/WAR and SAM/RNG, so I need different foods for each. If anyone has any recommendations for a direction to go with each job setup, any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Orange Kuchen
Duration: 3 Hours
Effect: MP +85 !

Orange Kuchen+1
Duration: 4 Hours
Effect: MP +90, MP regeneration while healing:+1

These changes turned this mediocre, high-level Cooking skill food into an absolutely fantastic selection for Summoners, as well as anyone who's desperate for MP, and MP only.

Btw, these results were on a 68 RDM and a 68 BLM.. when I changed jobs to 36 WHM, I still had a massive MP boost, although unfortunately I didn't check the exact numbers. ;;

Gob Choco is now HP heal +5, Hob is +7 ;_;

According to jbbs, cookies are the new MP heal food:

acorn +3, cinna +4, wild/ginger +5, coin +6, wizard +7.

They also say:

Snoll Gelato hMP+1, MP+16% (cap +75)
Sub-Zero Gelato hMP+2, MP+16% (cap +80)

EDIT: I've personally verified the ginger cookie effect.

I got another black curry (yay!)

72 Mithra Paladin again

+4 dex +6 vit +2 agl +3 int +1 mnd def +some %

it took my unequipped base def from 171 to 235.

I like this food, too bad it's lvl 90something cooking and I can't make it.

It REALLY SUCKS to eat a 3 hr food that's hard to find and then have some d/c repeatedly or fall asleep an hour after using it. -.-
