$5 sarlos and feba aren't posting is because they hooked up with some Lion cosplayer twins.

TWIN LIONS! THINK ABOUT IT!

Or... They're lying in bathtubs of ice with lipstick messages on their chests.

Ok, I have all this information from Day 3 from the FFXI blog thing at http://ff11creatersvoice.cocolog-nifty.com/fanfes/ so here we go.

They explained the whole 700 accounts being banned thing and how they investingated RMT actions (translation is really screwy here so I can't be too certain how they went about it.) And also explain why they did the gil sending limitation, and apologized for the inconveincing of legitimate players trying to distribute gil.

The finals of the North American Ballista Royale were held, and the winners were Channelfournewsteam (No score was given), which means Siren has won both the NA and JP Ballista Royales.

Then a surprise as Channelfournewsteam squared off against the Japanese champion team "Lovehame". Let's just say it was quite lopsided..........Lovehame 44, Channelfournewsteam 0.

Also the costume contest and raffles were held for various prizes. Currently the Star Onions are performing a Live concert at the event.

Hope that clears up the information gap for today ^^

EDIT - Silly me I forgot. They also say 100,000+ people from Japan, North America, and Europe have taken part in the Xbox360 beta test. They also announce that beta characters WILL be able to be carried over to established serves at the conclusion of the beta test.

Ok, I am sorry about the delay posting, but today was non-stop, though most was specifically event related. I never really got a chance to get to an internet hotspot, partially because we were trying to frantically get last minute points for the live quest. Unfortunately, due to scoring unfairness (different scorers were far more strict than others) team Minute Maid only scored 283 points. The third place team had 291... Smiley: cry

Anyway, there was no a whole lot of new information today. The Q&A panel started by summing up what has already been said. They covered some economy issues and other stuff, then had a general Q&A session. I am formatting everything now and will have it posted asap.

As for pictures - I have assloads. It will take a while to get them uploaded and linked, so please hold tight. I do have one treat for you, however... One of the Live Quest "NPCs" was a Tarutaru, and she was quite good at panicking...

there was some interesting questions and answers today actually.

i can't remeber most of them but some of the better ones are as follow:

Q: does items like 4 leaf, lucky egg and what not actually has effect of TH when u have them in ur inventory or use them?
A: if u believe it enough, then there will be. (/rolleyes)

Q: does the direction u face has any effect on ur crafting?
A: if u believe it enough, there will be. (/shakefist)

Q: will we see FF11 on PS3?
A: we still don't have any spec and in depth detail about PS3 yet so we can't say for sure, but once we got more info, we'll look into it.

here's 2 questions i asked the dev team personally when they're sitting on the side just before Ballista Royale.

Q: any plan on the possible issue that after the expansion comes out, there'll be lots of ppl rushing with same kind of jobs or same lvl jobs, which cause a shortage in hunting ground.
A: we'll do our best to help with that problem.

Q: will there be any plans for ppl to re-active their closed account again?
A: (this came directly from Sundi san) yes, we will do that just before the expansion release.

as for the Ballista Royale. the NA vs NA fight was pretty exciting. was a pretty close win by Siren in the end and Phenix did a pretty good job on the come back. maybe if 2 or 3 more minutes the whole outcome would be totally different.

the JP vs NA fight thou... that's a whole different matter -_-;; everyone's very excited about this fight and there's even chanting of "U~S~A~! U~S~A~!" before hand. one of the dev team member also make comment on how "different" the play style is between NA and JP that he've seen. once both teams are connected and in the battle field, we see that on the JP side, at least their RNG is totally "pimped" out with full AF2 set, Kraken club (not too sure what's the other weapon he got on since the screen didn't show that side) and god knows what else. all the other JP members already have on their lvl 60 gear for this fight (since it's lv 60 cap fight with no sub). on JP side PT make up is DRK, MNK, RDM, WHM, BRD and RNG. NA side is THF, MNK, RNG, PLD, WHM and BRD (or was it another WHM? i'm not too sure). once everything's set and settled, we can clearly see 4 out of the 6 JP PT (BRD, RDM, WHM, RNG) all have earth staff (or maybe HQ one) on so it seems they're going more of a defensive way rather then offensive like their NA counter part (so that's what the dev team member mean by "very different" play style). their WHM even has a Holy Brestplate on instead of AF or some other gear. JP BRD 2 hours during the buff period. the most amazing thing (at least for me) is that their WHM simply refuse to die at all. this is a Hume WHM being hit on non-stop by a MNK, THF and RNG and still no death at all from start to finish. from what i can see and understand (which isn't much, i might be wrong, it's all kinda confusing for me since i don't do Ballista ^^; ), they basically made the WHM into tank, let everyone hit on her while the RDM and the WHM herself doing the cure and their MNK, RNG and DRK keeps on a steady output of damage and pick on the NA PT's damage dealers. i don't think any of the JP PT even died once at all (not too sure, maybe died once or twice). in any case, the final result being JP team 44, NA team 0. everyone's pretty speechless but still give both teams their cheers. i think that's about all for the event today. the live quest's reward for 3rd and 2nd place was ok (FF11 clock and signed CD) but the first place one was a very nice picture in frame signed by the art director of FF11 (looks great too, about 5 inches by 8 inches i think). and everyone who played the live quest thing will have some reward and if u tried all 5 live quests (no matter what ur score is), u'll get a chocobo rod (or is it chocobo staff?) that'll help u stay on the chocobo longer. too bad my PT missed one since we didn't form the pick up PT until around 12pm today... orz. the Star Onion's performance was great and everyone loves it. oh, and it's still very cold out there on the pier... ^^;

Expanding on what was said about the NA vs JP ballista match...

It seemed the strategy the Japanese players used was to get gate breach early and fast then simply prevent the other team from doing the same. Everyone seemed to be geared up more for defense than for offense. It was a very interesting match overall.

Comments for the Ballista Royale competition between Japan and US. I don't think the US team had a BRD main player, but a BRD subbed player. The Japanese team had a BRD main and this was the reason why the JP players won. The Japanese BRD was doing his job, constantly casting Knight's Minne III on his team, Carnage Elegy on the US players, etc. The US's BRD or /BRD hardly played any songs, went melee, leading me to think he was a BRD sub. The JP WHM looked like was going more for DEF than what white mages normally go for, MP and -enmity. What the US team should have done was go after the Japanese BRD. He was the source of their problems. I really wanted to yell out "Go for the bard!!! Kill the bard instead!!" because 15 minutes of going after the white mage with no success should have told them something... like change tactics.

As for the development panel, I got to ask my question (it has been burning in me for a few weeks). My main concern about Xbox 360 was about going from Xbox360 back to the PS2 and PC. Currently, you can hop between JP PS2, US PS2, and PC. I wanted to know if I ever got an Xbox 360 (US and JP) would I be able to hop around all 5 platforms. The answer was yes. Woohoo! ^^.v

Oh. :x Then the US bard player sucked total ***. He wasn't doing his job properly (or at all) along with the US not changing tactics when it wasn't working was the reason why they lost.

Actually, I remember the translated answers being more along the lines of:

"If you believe, your dreams will come true" (for the TH effects), and:
"Face the direction your heart tells you to."

So it seemed more like "no" to the crafting question, in that the direction doesn't matter and you should face the direction you please. For the TH effect it was more ambiguous, perhaps they meant that someday it could be true, but I think we can assume that at present they indeed don't do what we would dream that they would do.

Ummm... this is covered in the instruction manual, if I remember correctly.

They reproduce via reincarnation.

I'm sure MyPony knows that he wasn't asking for how, he was simply stating how he was pissed off that someone would waste a perfectly good question asking that, because it's obvious that whoever asked it had the IQ of a 12 year old
