300 for the nation flag wouldn't be that bad, considering it is probably pretty rare. Still a lot though. Would be cool to have a flag from your server, you'd probably be like the only one on the server who had one hehe.

I tell you what, I'd take a pic of the flag, take it to a seamstress and spend the other $200-250 on something else. Unless they were signed by the dev team and the star onions i dont see anything being sold there worth that much.

Heh, true. Still though... Smiley: lolSmiley: laughSmiley: lol

Thanks for the replies. Was the Cordial Invite a rare/ex item? What were the names of the single and duo NPC BCNMs (we know the trio one is "The Indomitable Trio")? And I looked at the pics on a few sites mentioned here. I can't tell, was the battlefield Stellar Fulcrum (ZM8, used for nothing else but fighting Kam'lanaut) or Chamber of Oracles (ZM6, the one vs. Anticas, the place where real BCNMs are fought)?

The cordial invite was rare/ex, and as far as I know, just acted like a bcnm orb. I'm hoping they'll be usable more than once, though ^^

Sorry, I can't remember the names of the lvl 1 and 2 fights.

It was in the Stellar Fulcrum. Click the Qe'lov Gate to start the battle.

And the guy who soloed it, I was told they gave him all 5 stamps for it, and a free poster!

Since he did the work of 6 people, I'd say he deserved it, if they did.

It turns out I can host images on my FileFront account... I am going to try to upload some there and see how it works out this evening. The interface is much nice than the xs.to upload one file at a time interface, and I feel FileFront is probably a bit more trustworthy.

Some of them may be more of the same, but yeah, I only posted about 1/4 of all that I have on my lapop... Smiley: tongue The reason I have not uploaded any more is xs.to has a file size restriction, whereas FileFront does not.

Only about 1/4? Wow, just how many megs do you have total of pics? I mean most are like a meg each and you have like what, 20 up? (Just pulling a num outa my *** lol)

Maybe you should just zip em all up and post em all Smiley: lol

Out of interest, what type of camera did you have with you there? Those pics were huge, both in pixel size and file size. I realize not all were taken by you though... but still, that musta been some really high qual camera to take such big pics and still have that quality.

The directory (including the two videos that were posted earlier) is 367 mb, so about 300 mb worth of pictures. I can certainly zip the whole thing and put it on my FileFront account if anyone is genuinely interested... Smiley: lol

As for the cameras used, I honestly could not tell you. The one I was using was borrowed from a friend, and all I got from Purril and Cadell were their memory sticks (my tablet has an SD slot in it).

I don't know about others, but I for one would be interested in the files. I was SOOOOO close to going myself but was missing like 100 bucks needed to go... by the time I got it, all the tickets were sold out. Smiley: crySmiley: crySmiley: crySmiley: crySmiley: cry So, i've been thinking of making my own collection of pictures that people have posted here and other forums. Allways next year to go to though Smiley: lol Partially the reason I was asking about the camera too (if you've read some of my other posts you'll see that my camera is **** poor) I figure if I keep saving up my money I had going towards this year and they do have another next year I can get a good camera too lol.

Assuming they do have another next year i'm going to do everything in my power to make sure I go. Smiley: lol

Will Paladin ever get its own kind of Provoke?
It would be awesome if Paladin get its own provoke.
That way we could use different types of subjob instead of the same old /war. With Paladin with its own provoke, we could sub thins like: Mnk and have awesome HP and Awesome Vit, Nin- we could use utsusemi and duel wield, rdm- good stats bit, more of mp and lots of spells.

My camera is a Canon PowerShot SD300 Digital Elph. It looked like Cadell was using the same camera, but it might just have been a similar model.

Thanks for the info, i'll have to look it up and check it out. Good camera I take it? (Judging by the reso of the pics and such)
#490 Mar 15 2006 at 10:04 PM Rating: Good
It was one of the higher end cameras when I bought it a year and a half ago, but not the highest end model. I really like it though.

well with that quality image I would be happy too I bet. Not to mention Canon is normally pretty good at cameras from what I can tell.
#492 Mar 15 2006 at 10:15 PM Rating: Good
Yea, I've traditionally really liked Canon. I wanted an Elph because they're small and easy to carry. I went looking for one specifically.

Nice, it seems like a really nice camera from what i've seen looking online. Probably not all that expensive being over a year old which is a plus heh. I like that it can do movies too. Always a plus nowadays when going to things like conventions and such.

Also, while there are some good photos there it sucks that everything is totally covered with a copyright watermark. Even though it is semi-transparent it is the first thing I notice and does take away from the (otherwise) good quality pictures.

Man, SE sure can milk a cash cow. XD

Looks like a relatively low budget setup. What was it, 80 bucks for a ticket? 1000 tickets sold? So 80 grand right there... add in other things like the auctions, sponsors, etc. Deduct some fees... I bet they made a pretty nice amount off doing that. Tent on a pier, I love it. :D

Really, though, nice pictures and nice reporting. I followed it all as it was happening.... from the comfort of my own home. XD I don't think you coulda paid me enough to go to that. I am glad someone else did, though, to get info for us. Thanks~ :P

There were a couple questions I would have liked to have answered, but I wasn't expecting much.

Good way for SE to promote awareness for the upcoming expansion and make a few bucks. That lion cutout price... wow. Really, just wow.

Speaking of promotion, though, I wonder if they timed the puppetmaster unveiling to help promote kingdom hearts 2. I haven't played KH at all, but everyone I have talked to said they thought of kingdom hearts the second they saw the puppet. :P

March 28th for KH2? Attention grabbing NA festival with an iconic character? Hm... I smell conspiracy! XD

I really don't feel like reading 10 pages seeing as how I have to go to school in 10 minutes, but will the new jobs be implemented in a patch with the expansion or in the actual expansion? Back when CoP was released, lots of fixes and such were done in a patch while the actual storyline and missions were part of CoP. I guess what I'm trying to say is could I play a new job without the expansion?

You must travel to Aht Urgan to unlock the new jobs, use Mog Locker, and possibly Chocobo Breeding

I very seriously doubt it. You will be able to play WITH the new jobs, but not actually quest and be them. This is a guess, of course, but I can not see them freely giving away the jobs but locking off all content.

In addition to this, my guess is that the 3 new jobs quests will be initiated in the ToAU regions that you could not access without the expansion.

Seems to me that SE would add in new mob models, equipment, spells, that sort of thing for those who do not buy the expansion, just so they can still play the game. However, I would think they would lock off all the ToAU exclusive stuff.

When RotZ came out, they added 4 jobs total, with smn being the only one you could play without actually buying the expansion. If anything, maybe one of the jobs will be available to the people who do not purchase the expansion? I don't think anyone can say... just don't count on it.

I can confirm you need to go to Aht Urgan to unlock the new jobs.

OT: I was using the SD450. (My GF's...) After taking the shots I noticed the settings were set to low. That, combined with the low lighting in the tent... my shots could've turned out better. Oh well. There's always next year! Smiley: grin And yeah it is a nice camera. Biggest selling point, to me, is it's speed. My GF gets trigger happy and I wanted her to have a faster camera than her old HP digital. (I got her the SD450 for Christmas last year...) I would've taken more video clips if the battery hadn't died on me. (Forgot to get the charger from her before I left...)
