I still not have gotten my account back and I was banned on June 21st. I have been in constant contact with customer support and like almost everyone during that wave of bannings, it went from them telling me it was due to "irregular activities" to "irregular credit card activities". I even got a hold of a GM on a friend's account and they verified I was not banned by a GM, nor was it for anything in game, and that it was indeed something to do with billing and I had 0 strikes against my account. He suggested I call customer support back requesting to fix a billing error because they are probably confusing the LM-17 ban as an in game disciplinary ban by a GM but they still won't let me correct whatever billing issue it was.
Apparently all of those bans (the may, june, and july ones) were handled by the special task force (the customer service rep told me the accounts were being held by the GM department but the GM told me that was not true and asked for his name so he could tell his supervisor to reprimand him for giving out false info lol) and neither the GM department or the information center can help in any way because only the STF are dealing with these 3 massive ban waves, and they will not allow you to contact the STF about it...
Anyway, this gardening banning is a 3rd wave of bannings and seems that not everyone was banned for gardening, it was just massively described as RMT activities. Some have said that "RMT activities" were related to borrowing someone's credit card and multiple people having access to their account. Some people were able to get their account back, some were not. I am wondering if I contact them now if they will just tell me it was due to RMT activities or just tell me it was irregular credit card activity again? I borrowed someone's card once for 3 months back in 2008 and then switched back to my card again after getting a new one. I called customer support in January about it and they even got voice authorization over the phone and I was told that was ok but 10 months later I got banned for it apparently.
Anyone else in the June wave of bannings or even in the July have this or something similar happen to them and are still banned? I just don't understand why they are banning people for borrowing a card, even with pre-authorization from customer service and the person's voice authorization of use over the phone. I even asked the guy to send me an e-mail stating that it was ok and he did and I still have it so... I dunno.
