But he said "camping Malboro type mobs for the Vines and accidentily voked Morbolger and instead of trying to kill it he knew he would fail".

Morbolger is the Brown Belt vine NM. If he were there specifically to camp that, Then he wouldn't "accidentally voke" it (instead of one of the two Stropers ("Malboro type mobs"))...

Even if someone were after the Morbolger for the quest vine, and realized after claiming it that they weren't powerful enough to beat it, I still think that most people would put out their best effort (after all, if that is the whole reason they are there), rather than just standing there and allowing themselves to be killed without even going down fighting.

Sure this is odd behavior but it doesn't mean the character was botted. Thing is in this game you have no idea what is going on at someone's house. It could have easily been bad timing for this person and they got pulled off their game at the moment it popped. Maybe an emergency came up at the worst possible time and they had to go afk ASAP. It can happen. GM's have to remain completely impartial unless there is undeniable evidence that this person was botting they must remain in an impartial position.

You don't even know for sure this person was botting, they just had odd behavior which could have resulted from anything. Sure they voked fast, but people can do that if completely focused while camping.

My opinion is it was not a stupid question, he was just being fair to this person as they may have had other reasons, never know.

Best case scenario to redeem the GM: The guy was camping Malboro type mobs for the Vines and accidentily voked Morbolger and instead of trying to kill it he knew he would fail so he just stood there and took his death like a man.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just to offer a thought (not trying to be argumentative), but if I were farming vines, I'd just go to Rolanberry where Ochus roam everywhere and vines are a dime a dozen, rather than to walk all the way down to the bottom of Ordelle's to camp the two Stropers that pop there.

I know, but the GM owes it to every player to give him the benefit of the doubt in a case like this. For all the GM knows that could have been the case and the guy was just pissed at him for claiming morbolger and wanted to try to get him banned. Now we all know for a fact that's not what happened here, but it's very possible someone would try to do that.

Also note: The reason I thought of that is because while there for my RSE quest I saw someone doing just that, killing the Stropers and making Hi-Potions. He said he was leveling Alchemy and wanted to kill the Stroper Chymes as well and hope to get lucky.

Be interesting to turn the tables on a GM. Just start giving them "scripted" replies if you will.

"Hi I'm GM Imadumbass how may I help you today?"

"<Hello> GM Imadumbass I'm fine today how may I be of service?"

    GM:"Um.. you contacted us.."

Us: "<I'm sorry> <I dont understand> how may I be of service today?"

GM:" Hmm... there must of been a mistake did you place a GM call sir?"

Us: "Are you reporting a bot problem, MpK, gilz sellers, or a in game theft of a item?"

    GM: "....excuse me...?"

Us: "Thank you for your call. We apreciate your patience and we'll look into this matter futher for you"

    Us: "Have a good day"

GM "... this seems eerily familar..."

Well, if someone's going to go AFK and use a bot that does nothing but voke (and I mean literally nothing), then hey, go ahead and use it, I say. Even the unluckiest Leaping Lizzy would still beat you down in enough time, and it would at least provide me with some entertainment.

Once when bazaaring in Rolanberry Fields I went afk sitting down not knowing it can draw aggro. I came back on in the morning and noticed I had lost maybe 15% of my HP, scrolled up and saw a BST Goblin and it's bee had attacked me. It looked like someone passing by killed the gob eventually, but the bee died entirely due to the Ice Spikes trait on my Rasetsu Hakama, and I had plenty of HP left over.

I am pretty sure I could kill Lizzy with my pants. :P

Death warp via an NM... Kind of stylish but not very practical. In the time you have to wait for the NM to pop you could walk back to your homepoint....

Or maybe the GM thought the guy voked the first thing he saw.

    *cough*

    Yeah. Really stupid question.

Sounds like the GM thought it was a regular mob, didn't realize it's an NM.

I like Bill Engvall, so I've heard lots of stupid questions. My fave is when I go to the Blockbuster down the road and rent 3 or so movies, and the guy goes at the counter says "Are you renting all of these?" I always think to myself, 'no, I'm only renting the top one, I brought the others to keep it company'
