He wasn't even running windower at the time. Windower itself doesn't do anything that constitutes cheating to any sane person. With all the **** people get away with, you're talking down to someone like they're a child rapist, because they want to be able to minimize FFXI? Shut down your computer and take a walk.

Doubted the story before, but this looks like conclusive evidence.

I read the whole thread, but my posts were, I'll admit, rather harsh. One of my (many) faults is that I tend to play devil's advocate in any situation.

I could, however, have been more polite and more clear in my posts. I was trying to point out that he was guilty of using 3rd party software (though not necessarily during the event in question) and that he posted pics of it.

Rereading my posts, I can definitely see how they could be taken as attacking the OP. I pmed him an apology and explained the situation, and he accepted it.

Let's just accept that my posts were in poor taste and move on, shall we? This is about the OP and the way he was mistreated. Let's focus on the matter at hand and not my stupidity.

Edited because the poster in question seems to have had a change of heart. He orrigionally acted like a tard, and I acted like a tard back. Yes, it was stupid to do, but I was kinda pissed in the first place.

If people find a way that letting you view allakhazam or talk to buddies of yours out of Vana'diel on things like AiM or MsN more power to them. As far as a GM saying "OMFG YOU HAVE 3rd party programs!!1!" He needs to be fired. I read the post yesterday but wanted to see if the guy got out fine before I posted. All I can say is some of you need to grow up and {Congratulations} you got your account back under control. ^^

Oh yeah before I get flamed like ZOMFG th1s n00b uses windower!!! I play Ps2 with 3 desktops in my room and a laptop.

I merely stated that I had my doubts, and shared my opinion on what the poster said that gave me those doubts. It was an opinion, I did not once say that I was right and that everyone should agree with me.

As far as being a ratepuppet goes, well maybe I just have a low post count because I'm usually playing the game instead of making a 100+ posts daily on the forums. Take a page from Yopoompo's book and learn to leave well enough alone. Geez. -_-

The OP isn't a sock, it was me that rated him up. I expected him to get flamed and trolled down so I thought I was doing premptive correction. Somehow he posted a thread saying a Gm was bad and didn't get beaten with the rate down stick. WHich almost restores my faith in the section of humanity that postes at all. Almost.

I had my doubts also, but this sort of thing is nigh impossable to prove either way, and I've had my own bad experiances.

My very 1st call to POL customer support, they told me they didn't have to talk to me. I demanded a superviser. The supervisor said "I don't have to talk to you, get lost, untill you paying a monthly fee your not my problem". My problem, was the game was telling me that my freshly unseald package contained a used key. The game was shrinkapped and came directtly form walmart to my house, no way was that key used.

I wound up calling SE directy, discovering the guys on the phone were SoE, and being told to call the POL 800 number and ask for a manager. Spent 25 minutes explaining that I had. The SE guy on the phone told me he would talk to his boss and email me in the morning. The next afternoon (email timestamp showed it arrived in my inbox at 2pm) I recieved an email from a POL address telling me to call the POL 800 number and ask for a superviser m(_ _)m

I reply, explain I have done this. 1 hour later a reply back, saying do it again say the reason is customer service issues. I do. I get hung up on. I email back. I get no reply for 4 days. I go to wallmart and go through all the BS about we don't take returns ater its open blah blah blah, fail to convince them it must be defective I want to exchange, wind up buying it again this time from best buy. This key also fails. I call the SE guy again, explain everything thus far. Get put on hold for a bit (less than 5 min, yay). I get told they can't do anything about the key, take it back to best buy. ><

I take it back to best buy, they agree to exchange this key works. I call POl again. NOW I'M A F*ING CUSTOMER. I get the same guy, and make it a 3 way call with the SE guy without telling him. I get sworn at. POL guy gets canned a week later, I get email apologies. Lots of them. Still out the cost of the wallmart game.

Congrats on getting your situation sorted out i read the whole deal and i'd have been alot less..... diplomatic let's say lol. Also nice to see Erawyn stick her foot in her mouth again then act like a complete idiot when she's called on it.
