#79 Apr 07 2006 at 3:39 PM Rating: Good
can't be a Shaw problem there are a lot of UK people posting here as well and our two providers are BT for DSL and NTL for Cable.

You have been connected to FFXI TSR George.

FFXI TSR George: Hello, David, thank you for contacting the PlayOnline Information Center. Just a few moments while I review your question, please.

FFXI TSR George: In order for us to more accurately address your issue, we will require additional information. Please give a brief explanation of the issue you are having and please include any error codes or messages you are receiving.

David: im on ps2, error codes 1363, 2060 and 006

David: it wont load the left hand menu and gives those errors, ive been trying since 8am mt today

FFXI TSR George: What is the name of your ISP?

David: shaw cable

FFXI TSR George: Unfortunately the issue that you are experiencing with either Shaw or Charter Communications is still under investigation, earlier today Charter and Shaw customers from around the country lost their Final Fantasy XI access and we are trying to obtain some kind of answer from them however they have not been able to provide us or it's own customers with a solution. My recommendation is that you bypass any routers you may have, disable any software firewalls, and contact your ISP and speak to a senior Tech or Tech-Tier 2 about the issue. You may also want to compare DNS, and IP data that you have with the DNS and IP data that Shaw or Charter has. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you.

FFXI TSR George: Please try that, and if you still have trouble sign back on with us again so we can continue to assist you.

FFXI TSR George: Are there any other issues I can assist you with right now, David?

David: ok, thxs and no other issues

David: good day

I am experiencing the same problems here (Netherlands).

The trouble here started today around 11:00 EST (aka NYC time) when zoning from CN to Rolanberry, Jeuno to Rolanberry, Passhow to Highlands and Valkurm - Lufaise caused R0's and eventually dc's.

After my last dc and starting up my pc again, I couldn't log in anymore. I am either having trouble loading my Friends List data or get stuck a bit further in the log in procedure, when the viewer continues to try to load the game menu. The error codes I get after timing out are -0260 and -1363.

Now that I know I am not the only person having this problem, I will refrain myself from alcohol abuse and blaming minority groups in society for all this :P

I just hope I won't pop right in front of a big angry Bugard when I am finally able to log in again.

PS: Bluestars, I was able to travel through Konschat while having an R0 for some reason. My bet is that your teleport just worked out fine :)

PPS: Emm, I just realized that my copy of the game was bought in Toronto. Coincidence? Lol...I hope not. It does bring me to an other issue: I once heard that both games, so FFXI+Zilart and CoP, had to be from Canada in order to be compatible. Is that true? Cause if so, it would mean I have to order my copy of the next expansion pack at some Canadian company

Getting tired of this. Been trying since 5:30 till 11:30 now and still same stupid error.

I'm also in Canada having this problem, but I'm using DirecWay instead not Shaw. I'm also getting POL-1558 which is pissing me off cause I don't understand how I logged on earlier without any DNAS problems but now I'm getting an error. Anyone have any clue why I'm getting this DNAS error.

It can't be because of Shaw. I am far south of Canada and use another company other than the ones mentioned. Its server side for sure.

Starte time: 8:45 (when i first tried) its now 5:40
