Sounds like everyone had fun Good write ups from both of you

One question.

When Can everyone else Participate in the Heroines BCNM? Is this going to be available for everyone else? Or just you priviledged few? XD

Actually, I think that's just his hair. But yeah, that post above makes me glad I fuzzed the picture. D:

As I expected you guys had much more detail than what the other sites posted. Maybe they'll post more, but they didn't make it sound like there'd be more from them on it. Anyhow, great job.

Just one thing... A little bit from ffxiclopedia:

Why is beastmaster mentioned here? What the heck are they talking about? They don't want BST in ToAU?

Please make that make sence to me.

I know it's been said, but thank you for your reviews. Just wish I could get my huge Galka hands on some of that Final Fantasy Potion. :D

Sincne you guys mentioned it in the write-ups:

Why no Mac support? Did they cite a reason? was it the usual "not enough interest"?

Great write-ups. Especially about not asking about RMT: I'm sure the SE guys are just as tired, if not more so, about that issue than we are :)

I think you are reading to much into this. The point they are trying to make is they don't want everyone soloing on ToAU making it impossible for a party to xp in ToAU.

It was very easy to identify with their frustration since while administering this site, we encounter all of the same problems. Not everyone is happy when you do something. People complain for no good reason. They make up things to get even. Flood you with ridiculous requests of obvious low priority. One wrong step and suddenly you've kicked over and ant's nest with no way to contain things than to stop interaction and focus on your work. I hope that this summit, our write-ups, and future discussion will help to alleviate some of the aggression many players feel towards Square Enix.

You are scum. You met with SE personnel directly and there is not ONE mention of the NUMBER ONE PROBLEM IN THE F*CKING GAME.

Sellout. You had the nerve to jump on me like "ZOMGDETAILSCOMING" and the details are "we met the GM staff they are really nice people who do a really great job."

Yeah. Right. I hope they pay you well, because otherwise you're just a sucker.

I'm not reading anything into it, and I'm sure you're right. I just don't understand why beastmaster had to mentioned there, and was just hoping Pikko and Exo could elaborate on that particular conversation...

Aside from being a deadhorse, another reason why I decided to leave the bat at home was that out time to discuss anything was limited anyway. I wanted to get GOOD stuff in, stuff they may NOT be working on since they didn't think of it, then worry about a problem they are already solving.

There will be additional summits in the future and like I mentioned, we have e-mail access as well.

Give it time. This isn't going to be a one-shot overnight visit where everything is fixed the next day.

-EDIT to ADD-
BLU wasn't wearing BLU relic. He was wearing that same armor the general with the Algol sword (name escapes me) wears during Besieged. Amir? I think? BLU was also subbing WHM. (We had no choice in subs.)

I hope you'll be able to nudge them into speeding up the SMN "keep avatars out" update next time you meet them. Already waited 3 years for it. (though only 1 year since they admited to knowing about it)

Actually, I remember that brought up during lunch. The general consensus is that it's pretty much the players who decide if they want to keep them out or not. A properly leveled summon can go in and melee if the SMN himself/herself chooses.

Though, I'll jot that one down and let you know.

Just woke up, logged onto Alla, and read both of your write-ups.

/happy

It's nice to know that SE is actually listening to the playerbase, reading Allakhazam, and whatnot.

As said earlier, thanks for leaving the RMT behind, and also for bringing up several issues that people have been asking for for awhile now (LFG on multiple jobs, PUP, etc).

And for the record, the FFXII Potion drink does taste horrible. Smiley: frown

so whens DRG become 1337? did ya talk about that?

jk jk jk.

Anyways..i like how you(someone) pushed the issue on lfp on multi-jobs at the same time.
I still dont understand why they changed the LFP thing(went from LVL range to EVERYONE lfp).
I hope they add this, will be nice.

[********************** still dont understand why they changed the LFP thing(went from LVL range to EVERYONE lfp).[/quote]I still maintain that while they broke it, it was for the better. They basically forced everyone to use the /command, which provides better searches anyhow. "/sea region +/-1 inv" was not enough - region instead of all was a horribly bad choice to begin with, which they didn't fix, but they broke it so bad everyone ends up doing a manual "/sea all", which is better in the longrun. I personally prefer +/-2 as well, because it allows me to easily see if I can make a 3 level range in either direction, without doing multiple searches.

I loved the [GM]Matt getting a GM call against his personal character, and the RMT making calls on legit players. o_O;

Great read, both of you did a great job. ^_^ Can't wait to see this stuff actually implemented.

Does your entire life revolve around this? Seriously, get a grip.

Yes, it'd be nice if there was a work around, but I couldn't care either way. Even if I *could* keep avatars out all the time, it'd just turn the job into a weak version of BST or PUP because we'd be spending all our MP on Bloodpacts and the avatars would *still* be crappy melee, as would we with our puny lollipops.

It's fine as it is.

It wasn't that it was overlooked, but there were "OK, no more questions" type of an end. There will be another summit, and like I mentioned in my write up, it would be hoped for multiple days (a weekend maybe?)

This is the first ever meeting. Give it time, though, like I also mentioned they do read the forums. I'll send him an e-mail, though I'm sure that after 34209873249287 Ulli threads and Matt Hilton viewing the forums 5 hours per day, they are aware of it.

EDIT to add-
This also wasn't an exclusive Allakhazam meeting with them. The other premier sites were there as well. So it wasn't just us asking questions, though I did include the questions they asked in the write-up.
