Because otherwise you would think the game had Elvaan, Galka, Hume, Mithra and Tarutaru in it?

Microsoft isn't going to be releasing any more updates for Windows...
No, that means that there aren't any better or further releases of that OS. Windows 7 Ultimate is the end of the line for Windows 7. They've given you everything in it, there's nothing further to get for the OS itself.

I was sent in a capsule from a place far from here, and I came here for one reason. To attack and keep comin’. Not to ask, but just to give. Not to want, but just to send. Send the power of the Warrior down everybody’s throat in the WWF, until they become sick of it. Well you’re gonna get sick of it, because this freak of nature right here is just beginning to swell. And when I get big enough, brother, there ain’t gonna be room for anybody else but me and all the Warriors floatin’ through the veins and the power of the Warrioooooorrrrrrr!!!

PS2 service to be discontinued!

IF it means an end to "PS2 limitations" then this is a good thing.

Adjust the resolution of menus.
The main screen resolution for "FINAL FANTASY XI" is dependent on the "Overlay Graphics Resolution" setting.
If the Overlay Graphics Resolution is set higher than the Menu Resolution, menus will be automatically resized.

I thought of it first:

Apparently, SE making it convenient for a new player is a bad thing to you.

What new players?

I was talking about monthly fees anyway. As in, trying to bring in as many new players as possible to get that last bit of cash before the game ultimately dies off and no one joins anymore, not the box set itself being "convenient".

Also I was responding to this..

Seems strange they would bother releasing this...what with them practically killing the game off the way they are. I think more people I know have quit within the past 4 months than the previous last 3 years. Hardcore players at that.

Can I play as Sakura and Dan in this one?

No you're thinking of FFXI alpha collection.

I am a total zero talent art person, but I was attempting to make the FFXI alpha dream come true. My intent was to merge a Dan and a colibri but only came up with this horrible piece du crap.

Bad Pic here

Also if anyone feels so inclined and has the talent, I'd like to see Danlibri come to life.

umm.... what about those of us that have bought all the expansions and add-on scenarios over the years... do we still have to buy Shantotto's add-on for another $10?

how about throwing your loyal customers a bone and giving us the third one for free? ...or atleast a rebate of somekind....

lolwhat? It's like all the people over the years who bought the expansions separately so they should get a rebate too? That makes no sense and no one would ever do that. That's like buying all the seasons of Family Guy separately then asking for a rebate when they bundle it and sell that.

EU version got announced today. Each of the regions has their own teams, so messages like these don't always appear on the same day or in the same format. (Compare the website for FFXIV US to FFXIV EU for instance.)

I'm wondering though... can you use the uniform code for all expansions to register a single expansion? My original game CDs are almost 6 years old, so if I could get an easy to install DVD version with up to date files for just $10 extra...

I had an online chat on POL. According to SEI Agent Djagmit, it's not known right now if there will be a single registration code like the previous collection. However, it was possible with that collection to register expansions you did not register yet on an existing account, and this should also be the case for the Ultimate Collection. (Ie, you don't need to create a new account to use UC, it'll work with existing accounts as well.)

Weird no release for PS2. I still have my Vana Diel 2008 Collection. Though, by the time my "new" old PS2 dies I am sure FFXI will be behind me.

That page looks pretty awesome.
While I'd like to get back into FFXI, I think I'll just wait until FFXIV comes out. It doesn't seem like a good use of time, to build up some gil to purchase gear I lost when I quit, only to have 14 around the corner.
