I'd like some answers on Red Mage as well.

Okay.
1) Red
2) Yes, no one knows how white + black = red
3) It's actually called a chapeau
4) Phalanx, not fail-lynx or sphincter. People usually don't mind how it's pronounced (fail-inks vs. fay-links)
5) Refresh
6) "I found it on a Taisai"
7) FFV is the only previous FF that allowed for a side by side compare/contrast with Blue Mage
8) Yeah, they are the only job left off the Zeni NM armor sets besides SCH
9) light swords
10) it was inspired by the X-Magic (or W-Magic) command (W= Japanese for double)

Dammit, you should know where I'm coming from. I mean what the hell are they trying to do with it now?

This, pretty much.

They stated they wanted the job moving up to the front, yet the job was left natively off Sanguine Blade, it was left off the pink light DD set that everyone else gets to wear (added insult to injury would be that BLU, the other melee mage, is on both teal and pink sets), is still stuck with a lot of pre-abyssea gear in terms of melee gear (when everyone else got gear 10 times better than what we have access to), has access to the last dagger WS they added but is off every magian dagger. That's just for starters, without going into my mechanics argument (AKA why the class lacks something that would give parties the incentive to invite a front line RDM, in terms of damage and/or utility). Or the fact that SCH, of all classes, ended up getting a way to use spells as part of a skillchain.

That's just the melee side, by the way. Zafire has a nice post or three on how we're falling behind in healing.

Where do these questions come from? Who thinks of them? Who decides what gets asked? How can we make the questions that get asked of the dev team not suck?

Pretty sure anything other than "When is x,y,z new content coming out" will be considered "suck" to certain people.

I only accept spirit questions. Asking if they'll do something about zeta being "difficult" just makes me roll my eyes when they could have asked why spirits haven't gotten new spells since 75 or why they still have the bug from 2003 which resets their timer as soon as you assault.

I'd kind of smile if someone wasted a question about when the new avatars with less perpetuation will come, since it was promised 2006.

That answer regarding Pet Food Eta ingredients is not adequate enough for my satisfaction. I'd like to see the following to get their acquisition to a more tolerable level:

*Cut Ruszors' HP by 25~50%. 7,000+ HP on a regular monster that's supposedly EP at level 90 doesn't make much sense. Fights should last so long that I am using Despoil every fight,

*Bring their Attack down to regular monster-type proportions. EP- monsters should NOT be able to hit any level 90 job for upwards of 250 HP per regular attack and 400+ on criticals. That's HNM power, not that of farming quarry.

*Remove the Terror/Gravity/Equiment Removal features of Ruszor TP moves. These alone are the main reason Ruszor Meat has rarely gone up for sale. As a THF, I barely survive these TP moves even with Curing Waltz III on /DNC and can only thank Evasion Bonuses for my not being killed

*Remove the Communal Hate system given to Apkallu or give egg farmers more leeway so we're not suddenly fighting damn-near invincible birds for one egg because someone was struggling to farm earlier.

These should allow people to farm Ruszor Meat and Apkallu Eggs with far less trouble and, in turn, be able to post a larger supply of Eta bicuits on the AH

I'm fairly sure Playonline actually had its own method of defragmentation. Although its probably too late to use its method, because the HDD is over half way full.

However I do remember 2-3 years back there was an updae that had tons of .Manifest files, which essentially move a file from one place to another, presumeably with some tweaking this could be done to every file, stopping the defragmentation.

Apkallu in Abyssea don't have communal hate.

Ruszor meat doesn't go up much because BSTs and RNGs aren't willing to pay more than 1000 gil for it. Pay what it is worth and people will farm it.

Adjust the resolution of menus.
The main screen resolution for "FINAL FANTASY XI" is dependent on the "Overlay Graphics Resolution" setting.
If the Overlay Graphics Resolution is set higher than the Menu Resolution, menus will be automatically resized.

If you can't tell things apart, I am over spirits. I'm however not fine with people asking mundane questions when they could ask about spirits. The spirit issue is so old that it would classify as historical questions, an par with "Did Hitler really shoot himself?" or "Did the US know about Pearl Harbor?".

I don't care what happens to spirits, I just want to know WHY nothing ever happened. I only know they were nerfed in like early 2003 before US release. And they have been useless since.

Heck, while we are on the subject, it is crazy someone asks about BST pet food, when they should ask why there are no charmable mobs in any of the abyssea zones. That is another of those things SE seem to have completely forgotten about.

It is like broken game mechanics is the last thing asked about, and the first thing asked about is "What is next update about?", which will answer itself in 3-4 months.

@#%^ you SE. Really. The PS2's "HDD Limitations"? The Windows install is 10 GB. My PS2 HDD is 20 GB. Unless the PS2 requires 2x the number of files to run the game, you're full of sh*t.

How about you just upgrade off old *** hardware???? I have zero sympathy for ps2 players. The hardware is old and you should of upgraded hy now, PCs are deep cheap, especially for runnig this game.

Most companies would have already dropped support for a machine where half the people using it can't implement a fix because their machine is broken (i.e. non working DVD drive)

There's no need, that question has already been answered.

I can't see why BSTs would even wanted Charmed mobs in Abyssea between how good new jugs are, restore chests for routine Familiar use, and Atmas carrying over to pets. If your objective is the whole quickly disposable pet pools for trying to solo NMs schtick of old, I'd almost say to just be a SMN instead. And I guess I don't miss the, "You stole my NM!" gripes when the claim system's brought up, too.
