Final Fantasy XI Ultimate Collection ~ Abyssea EditionFollow
Before I jump to pick this up, will this unlock the add-ons even if you already have XI installed? For example, in my case, I have the four main expansions, but nothing else (quit shortly after Crystalline Prophecy). Since then, I've recently reactivated with my old Ultimate Collection. If I drop the $20 on this, I'll get all six add-ons, right?

I bought the ultimate edition on steam but already owned 2 other versions of the game (I had only the 4 Xpacs too) and put in the code that came with it and it unlocked the 3 Addons that came before Abyssea. So chances are this will do the same.
I plan to buy it since I just restarted FFXI from scratch and still need Abyssea. Looking forward to getting that nice hat to help me reach 30 on my new character too.

At the risk of sounding impatient, when is this going to be released? And what website? It's already the 16th and still no new information.
So it's the 16th (I got home from work about 30 minutes ago, 7:30am EST) and I'm not seeing this on Steam. Does anyone know where and how you're supposed to get this "exclusive for Windows PC download" stuff?
Steam has their daily updates at ~1pm EST; I would wait until at least that point before sounding any alarms.
At least they're selling it in JP.

I noticed they removed the old Ultimate Collection link they had on the US playonline site when they posted new news for the day, hopefully they'll get updated version added soon.

Hope you're correct. :) Was hoping it would have popped up by now but it looks like I'll be waiting another 3 hours.

I've yet to see any mention of Steam getting this though Amazon has it listed as coming out today but it's not out yet. I've been going site to site looking for it all morning and so far this is the only site with any mention of selling it.

No wonder SE is doing so bad right now, they can't even sell things properly. They need to learn to tell people where and when they can buy stuff rather that being vague about it.

I did say, albeit jokingly, that if SE could do so, they'd hide the copies of FFXIV and make you look for them before you could buy the game, because "That's part of the fun, isn't it?"
Perhaps they heard me.

Steam just took down the 2008 Ultimate Edition. Looks like they're about to put up the Abyssea one!

I'm curious as to what the costume on the cap is. It's the same model as the Chocobo Beret...I hope it's not chocobo costumes, I won't get to feel special anymore heh.
Well I still don't see it on Steam. However it seems to be purchasable on Direct2Drive.

Has anyone bought this yet and gotten the codes?
Does it come with a different code for the hat? My friend already has all the expansions and Abyssea and is buying this just for the bonus hat. If it has different codes for the hat and expansions, my friend might be able to give the expansions to me as a gift, since I don't have anything after WOTG - or is the hat tied to the 1 code? Thanks for any info on this.

Yes, I bought this for my SO just now, and there's only 2 codes: Activation and the beret. You can register the hat via optional services > reward registration
Dunno if I should buy my own copy, I wanted to buy it to get the last 2 abyssea expansions, but with only one code given, I'm thinking it's not possible. :/
So how does this digital thing work? I've been told you get one code and that activates everything? I am missing ASA and the two later Abyssea expacs, if I bang this one code in will it unlock these three missing expacs for me?

For the people asking. If you just want to buy it for even 1 of the add ons it does work.
I just recently came back to game, and still didn't own the 3 Abyssea add ons. All I did, was went to register the Visons of Abyssea, and used the 1 single code given to me, it worked, then after that, said this code was a 1 in all code, and asked me if I would like to activate the other add ons as well. I said yes, and boom, all 3 registered.
