[dev1013] Introduction of Synergy Augments

[dev1013] Introduction of Synergy Augments

• After the synergy process is complete, players will have the chance to confirm the potential augments and choose whether to implement or abandon them.

If the augments are implemented, the equipment's statistics will be overwritten.
If the augments are not implemented, the equipment's statistics will remain in their existing state.

Augments that have been added through Synergy can be removed.
The closer the elemental balance is to an ideal state, the more augments can be added.
Recipes may be obtained by speaking with the Synergy Engineer NPCs stationed next to synergy furnaces.
Crafting skills are not required.

[dev1008] Fishing Improvements on the Way

[dev1008] Fishing Improvements on the Way
The forthcoming version update will see two refinements aimed at anglers of Vana'diel: more informative fishing messages and the introduction of a "critical bite" system.

New fishing messages
Messages displayed upon getting a bite will indicate the size and type of your potential catch as follows:

Small fish: "Something caught the hook!"
Large fish: "Something caught the hook!!!"
Non-fish targets: "You feel something pulling at your line."
Monsters: "Something clamps onto your line ferociously!"

Critical bites
Players with fishing skill surpassing the rank of their target will register a critical bite, and be rewarded with advance knowledge as to the identity of their prey.

Ex.: (When scoring a critical bite against a black sole)

"Something caught the hook!
Your keen angler's senses tell you that this is the pull of a black sole!"

Scoring a critical bite will also slow the target's stamina recovery in the event of improper reeling, allowing players to reel in lower-level fish with greater ease.

We will also be implementing the next stage of efficiency tweaks and refinements to the fishing system code itself, a process which began last patch with the goal of allowing for a greater range of adjustments in the future. We will continue to monitor game balance and adjust the system as necessary.

Furthermore, we intend to preserve the timing-dependent minigame nature of the fishing system, and make balance tweaks and adjustments accordingly. We are also aware of the significant outstanding issues with RMT abuse and difficulty imbalances related to players’ system environments, and will continue working towards a viable solution. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Adjust the resolution of menus.
The main screen resolution for "FINAL FANTASY XI" is dependent on the "Overlay Graphics Resolution" setting.
If the Overlay Graphics Resolution is set higher than the Menu Resolution, menus will be automatically resized.

I thought of it first:

TheRealLusent, All your posts have been posted before. Also, you posted the older dbox list (probably no different, idk) from an older thread. I posted the newest list they posted. Your reposting skills are sharp!

Ok, I see that we must look up the updates now under the right number. I'm confused why COR wasn't under job adjustments. SE was clearly adjusting something on COR, but I haven't seen anything yet.

Perhaps they needed more time or decided to add the extension to job specific merits? Or they may have forgotten to include it in the post....we'll see.

If its in one of the developer notes on the forums, its probably in. They seem to reference themselves a lot and want people to browse the forums (why the references aren't hyperlinked seems to be out of sheer laziness)

It's reference note 1006, and it's nowhere to be found in their official post. BUT, they did say in that post it was for the "upcoming update" so I would assume it's in. That, or they ran into snags and decided to hold it off for a mini update.

I sure hope we don't have to track down the update stuff all over the place because SE can't post a summarized update thread anymore.

I'm sorry did I make a new topic for all of this or post in a topic about it to help others see what the dev tags are talking about. Also to help others get the info right here and not having to go hunting around on another forum for it.

"I posted the newest list they posted." FYI Talk to SE about the list not me I dont give a flying rats *** just copy and paste from their own notes.

So I'm guessing they didn't include the merit point adjustements in this update (unless I'm not seeing it lol) like they promised or just forgot to list it?

http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxi/threads/4808-dev1006-Merit-Point-Adjustments!

If they didn't I guess my capped Limit Points will stay capped till August XD
