I'd wager a lot, since it hasn't been implemented yet. They drop from WoE or VW?

If the new spells really do come from Voidwatch, I might just take a haitus from the game again. I've already found myself logging on bored most days, and I have no interest in alliance-style events. Never did.

The mining? Was done a while back with the test server.

doesn't matter! Tradition states we have a huge .dat thread on update day. It's tradition, dammit!Smiley: glare

Sorry to break the tradition. I figured since the Test Server will have all the new update goodies and due to the fact that when the new stuff on the test server comes out isn't localized (only the JP item .DAT's are updated) there isn't a need for me to do any mining anymore unless I can catch an update on the test server that downloads the localized copies. Usually others are more aware of new updates than I am so most of the stuff gets mined before I even get a chance to do it.

Also, the new Auto Repeating GoV is pretty slick. LS alliance party down in Ifrits Cauldron produced 140k exp/hr.

Omg, looks like the slug broth will be CHEAP at least in terms of materials. SWEET MOTHER LOVE THANK YOU. I am guessing the wheat broth is for the slug given the other recipe looks more like a tiger recipe (could be wrong though).

Looks cheap and only slightly limited:
Both flours around 120 total
Coriander 1200 each but limited being a Tenshodo Merchant only item.

Not too bad really

Now watch Coriander become a guild-botters target like Tarutaru rice was in the Cooking guild back in the day.

They just added two more jug pets for Beastmasters to be able to use, a Smilodon-type Tiger and a Slug.

I really, really hope that these scrolls are a glitch... because unless we find them somewhere really obscure we're looking at HUGE prices for them... I don't mind working for them but this just seems really odd. I've explored all over the place. Including Selbina/Mhaura/Nashmau/Norg/Ferries to/from Nashmau etc They may be on an NPC I didn't think to check but this will severely **** me off if the market is controlled only by players...

Here's hoping they drop from mobs somewhere or they'll be far worse than the tier IV

Looks like someone found Temper:

I really hope it drops from other places or the drop rate is high. Otherwise it'll be outrageous gil wise for a while.

no, it doesn't, we spent the whole night killing worms and turtles and not a single scroll dropped. Lots of soil geodes though :)

As someone who never enjoyed the drop rate to seal cost ratio on BCNM/KSNM fights to begin with, I think this will probably be the final nail in the coffin for me.

IMHO, Abyssea and everything about it was what the game should have been from the beginning. This includes readily available scrolls from NMs/NPCs/Chests in addition to everything else. It seems the new SE direction is primarily voidwatch and now a revival of the instance-type battles. I'm sure that'll keep some people happy, but for me personally, I think it's a step backwards.

They could have dropped from Voidwatch... which will be the last straw for me as well if Absorb-Attri does.

There hasn't been any real excuse to not do other cities since SE allowed you to "save" them when you switched, and then switch back. Considering I blew through the Bastok missions at 75 in about a month just before WotG came out, you could have probably done them in a week or so at 90. And then switched back and your outposts would still be there.

Does this mean we can do our OP's for other cities and keep them? Possibly filling out Regions not normally available due to no takeovers?

Example: I'm windy, I switch to bastok for gustaberg OP, switch back and can now OP from windy to gustaberg.

If so... amg :D

And hopefully if you have already done them all, they will be immediately available. I haven't had the opportunity to log on yet - can anyone confirm?

Or you could both just buy those scrolls off the AH. Not like gil is hard to make from Abyssea if that is all you do.

I have no problem with scrolls dropping from BCNM. It reminds me of the old days when Erase and Raise III scrolls were rare commodities for WHM (Bionic Bug, Evasive Action etc), and the excitement you felt when you finally filled out your spellbook. One can do with a little delayed gratification sometimes.

Well you have to get rank 2 or 3 to be able to do outposts. If you've already done all mission lines then yes you could double-switch for an outpost. Else it'd take maybe 20 minutes...

Eh, okay. I dunno, I spend a lot of time in Abyssea and there is no way in heck I can afford to drop 1 million on a scroll, so yeah. People are so going to price gouge these things hard, which, honestly, is a real bummer because it will just make the people who are already filthy rich even richer. I would have been happier if they just dropped off mobs or something.

It is also grossly unfair to mages - since melee just get their new skills for free, while mages need to shell out mega gilz to simply not be gimp.

If it is like that then you have to give SE a little credit for trying to do the impossible. There is no way to keep all of the players happy, but mixing it up is a good way to try.

Uh...have you CHECKED the going price for raise III lately? Currently going for 1.2 million on carby. And if you look back on the "old days" with fondness for shelling out a million that you will never get back...you are a sick, sick man.
