But if Affinity Media sold IGE, wouldn't that mean that Affinity really was the parent company and not just another name for IGE? And wouldn't it mean that we really were separate from IGE all along? And wouldn't it mean that Affinity wasn't some gold selling front, but an actual media company with multiple assets and business interests? But, but, that would mean everything we have been telling people over the past year might really be true! We can't have that! What would the haters do with their tin foil hats then?

(officially I can neither confirm nor deny this rumour until we are ready to make an official announcement, err should one be necessary that is).

Sure, but if Brock Pierce owned/controlled both, the difference is pretty academic in most people's eyes. Affinity didn't come up out of the rocks; it was created by the folks who owned IGE to acquire additional properties as well. If that's wrong, feel free to correct me.

It's absolutely nothing personal as I'm sure it's not completely your choice what to say or not say, but I don't have many sympathy points for someone (company or otherwise) who refuses to say what's going on and then complains when people guess incorrectly. It shouldn't take Nancy Drew Googling skills from a forum user to try to figure out the story if Affinity/IGE/Allakhazam LLC/Whoever actually wanted the story set straight. I don't even care much about the gold-selling angle as much of the challenge of cutting through corporate ******** to try to piece the real story together. Smiley: grin

Ps. If you really got rid of IGE I'll go back to rooting for you. Still, leaving us in the dark, when all you had to say was "We wtfpwned IGE, like, big time" and we'd be there with our big foam thumbs, was kind of disappointing.

Have patience. This has dragged out this long. I doubt waiting a few days or weeks longer will kill you. It's both reasonable and a smart business move for a company that is acquiring assets and investors to keep its details private. I think they may be close to being willing to step into the spotlight and at that time we can hopefully answer a lot of your questions. As for the IGE sale, I think I pretty much answered your question without overstepping my bounds.
