NCSoft has finally released its long-awaited content patch for Aion called Steel Cavalry. By fortune of a technological breakthrough, a new class has stormed into the game called the Aethertech. Piloting large mechanical mounts, these walking metal warriors impose their will at almost any range—and that's just the new class.
NCSOFT®, the world’s premier publisher and developer of massively multiplayer online games (MMOs), announced today Aion: Steel Cavalry, the latest in its line of free expansions for the game, will become available to players Wednesday, January 29, 2014. This afternoon, NCSoft announced the next free Aion expansion, titled Steel Calvary. It will feature a new class called the Aethertech and two new warfronts, and is expected to be released in the first quarter of 2014.
This month marks four years since NCSoft introduced Aion to the west and players will be treated to a multitude of events both in and out of game. Specific activities include:
Two new world exlusive items have come to Aion that were, in fact, created by some of Aion's very own players. These two new weapon skins look visually stunning and are sure to make your new Gunslinger or Songweaver stand out among the crowd.
The highly anticipated Aion 4.0: Dark Betrayal update is officially live and with it comes a plethora of exciting changes for veteran players and newcomers alike. Changes include two additional classes, additional abilities, an increased level cap, and more.
Well it ain't the Gunner class reveal, but Aion is getting more content teased out, with a showcasing of its new skills being changed and, potentially, removed. They have displayed new skills for Katalam, the Raid vs Raid skirmishes, and three new Charged skills. Get excited!

It feels like Aion 3.5 just hit live servers last month, doesn't it? Oh wait, that's because it did. But that's not stopping NCSoft from talking about their plans for the upcoming 4.0 update. Yesterday, they dropped a preview video of the all-new Bard class!
The cool content teased for Aion 3.0 by this trailer back in May is getting prepped for launch, and if you want to take a shot, the test servers are live and available right behind the link. Two new territories, level cap raised to 60, a housing system, and six new instances await behind the link.
